I need your help identifying this plant. My mother bought it on the market and it comes without any label. Maybe you will know.

@Yviestevie great news about your OH. Also good you have managed to sort the furniture problem. Hope the delivery arrives this morning so you have the rest of the day to relax.
@Busy-Lizzie how lovely you have managed to get some boxes sorted and put your furniture in place with the help of your very kind friends. Hope you can get to see your OH soon.
@Ante30 you deserve to have a few restful days, you've been so very busy. Pesto pasta... yum yum😋😋

    Morning all,

    Glorious morning here. Again :D

Might have to write myself a list of jobs to do in chronological order in an attempt to get some projects actually finished. If I hit the smallest problem, I tend to move on to something else rather than finding the solution. "Stick to the list, stick to the list" is the mantra for today!

    Or I could borrow a handy brother @Ladybird4 ;)

Ante, your Mum's plant is Lysimachia congestiflora, one of the loosestrife family. Pasta and pesto - one of my favourites too!
Good morning to all later arrivals.
Biglad, you can borrow handy brother anytime.
    SGL, your rhododendron is gorgeous.

    Thank you @Ladybird4
@Ante30  I didn't see the photo of your mum's plant earlier. It's very pretty.

    Morning all.
Lovely sunny day, I will be inside painting the 2 bookcases we got out of the loft.

Gorgeous Rhodie @star gaze lily and @Ante30's Lysimachia is really pretty too. I haven't seen that variety before.

I went to the tip this morning, then to the DIY place for more pale grey furniture paint, then to the SM for snack lunch food.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
  • lily love rhododendrons, fabulous colour.  Hazel your cosmos is lovely.  Are they a Hardy plant, never had one.    Doing some weeding today, will do inbetween the pebbles another day.  I’ll have to try out my loppers as have some German made ones which had good reviews.  Busy in the 90s I had a few pieces of furniture to paint, a loydloom chair an ottoman and another chair.  I bought fabric for the ottoman locally and thoroughly enjoyed the careful process.  When I was moving I sold all three pieces.  It was well worth doing, although I would have liked to have kept them.  I’m sure it will look great when finished.   Biglad glad it sounds like you’re doing very well.  Remember to drink plenty of fluids during these warmer days.

It's got very gloomy, close and uncomfortable outside. I sense a storm brewing but weather forecast says no rain due.

Anyway, I've packed up for the day and come in to watch Nadal sweat for Spain in Paris :o
