Evening all. That darkened skies look was just there to scare me into thinking it would lash down - it didn't so I was able to breathe a sigh of relief. Sorry to hear it hit your area RosieBB. Having shed my lumberjack outfit for today I may have to don my frogmans outfit for the pond job. Lets see what tomorrow brings. I am signing out now too. Its been a good day today - a sign of things to come. See you lovely people tomorrow.

Evening all - been busy today getting ready for the off tomorrow. All done now so enjoying a relaxing evening.
SGL - so very pleased to hear that your OH has passed his MOT - must be a huge weight off both your minds. I'm sure you'll sleep better tonight which will also help with getting over your jab.
Big Lad - that's a skinny frog! As you say - very wide difference in the flowering times of daffs - ours have been and went weeks ago.
Have been out watering this evening - thought the huge thunderous clouds that gathered at lunchtime were going to do it for me but they decided to drop their load elsewhere.....
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
Thank you @Chivetalking and @Topbird yes a great relief. Everyone has been so kind thank you . Have a lovely time Topbird, hope the weather is kind to you. Safe journey.
Hi all, just popping in to say thank you for all your good wishes for fiancé’s birthday. It’s been a nice day, we had a lovely meal then walked back arm in arm under the big umbrella quite romantic for such oldies! Pleased to hear good news about health issues and hope all goes well with next vaccines no side effects. Sleep well!
I went shopping for groceries and some of the food for Son 1's visit this weekend. They arrive on Friday for lunch, having spent a night with Son 2. Son 1, lovely French wife and 3 little girls live over 5 hours drive away, near Auxerre. Hasn't been possible to see them because of Covid lockdown, they had planned to come during the last school holidays. We still have a 7pm curfew but are now allowed to leave our areas.
Can't buy clothes yet, or toys for grandchildren's birthdays, government has banned shopping for non essentials, but that will be over soon.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Hope you have a safe journey tomorrow Topbird & OH, enjoy your break away, Glad you both had a nice time Debs, lovely to be able to go out and celebrate, Busy-Lizzie I hope all goes well with son 1’s family visit to you on Friday, it will be so nice for you to be together after all this time, Hope you get a better nights sleep tonight SGL & Hazel, Goodnight everyone.

Lovely lilac LB, the oldies reference was for fiancé, he is younger than me but keeps referring to himself as an old man! To be fair he works a lot of hours in a very physical job and really was planning to slow down a bit but covid put a stop to that he needs to recoup his losses.
Back to work for me today wonder what news awaits me about changes. Sunny here but more rain forecast later.
Top bird have a wonderful trip. Pleased that so many of you are seeing friends and families again, what would we do without them?
Morning Debs. Now take some deep breaths and don't start fretting about 'changes' - its not good for your health! Its sunny here too but has obviously chucked it down in the night as everywhere is saturated outside.

@Ladybird4 you are absolutely right. I am planning a Sunday at the allotment to get my plants in the ground whatever the weather so I will think about that instead.
