It seems an oddity @Ladybird4. The SM, B&Q and my local GC are all still chock-a-block with bedding plants.
Gravel boards have gone in ready for new fencing panels. Finally managed to get the right sized downpipe for the shed guttering so erecting that and connecting to the water butt is getting closer.
Planted some more peas and French beans outside (to replace those destroyed by the hail storm the other day).
chi hive I’m glad you had a good day with mum and good luck with the Heuchera. LB sounds like you had a good day. I hope you sleep well. Hazel it’s good your family will be having their vaccines. Have a restful night. Goodnight everyone.
Such good news of your daughter getting the go ahead for the vaccine Hazel @Songbird-1 what a huge relief that must be for you. Fingers crossed that all goes well for her. Lovely that you had the company of your son and 23 this afternoon for fun & games, a good day all in all.
@Songbird-1 great news about your daughter being able to have the vaccine, hope all goes well for her. Sounds like you've had a lovely day, especially when 23 came over to play. Hope you get a better nights sleep tonight. @Biglad you've had another busy day too.
Saying night night to you all, sleep well and sweet dreams everyone
LB lack of sleep is going round. I’ve been awake through the night and decided to get up for some breakfast and now I’m going to make the first cuppa. I hope you all slept.
Finally sunny morning and no rain. Pets and birds have their breakfast and now is my turn. I have some paperwork to do and later cottage and garden. Dahlias are now to big for their pots, so they are going in the soil.
A very good morning RosieBB and Ante. Hazel, it sounds like you had a lovely (if tiring in a nice way) day. Poor RosieBB, that was me on Thursday night. Have a nice, easy day today and if you can cat nap - do. Ante, your tulips are super. I was going to get my dahlias I've grown from seed planted out as they are really big now but guess what -
I might get some work in the GH and garage done. Biglad, I might have a bedding plant sortie to the SM in the village first thing - then again, with the rain, I might just wait.
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
Good morning all, slept well after a busy morning at the allotment before work which was thankfully a bit calmer than usual. Weeded whole plot and put down a thick layer of bark shreddings everywhere, the allotment has a regular delivery of them and they e such a help. These were mostly pine and smelt lovely. I need to go round at some point to get my sweet peas planted it feels very late this year. Hope we have an Indian summer to compensate us.
We had planned a little barbecue today for fiancé’s birthday but rain stopped play. Hoping to reschedule soon.

LB, sorry that you have rain. Have a nice day.
Debs, I hope that rain will stop and that you will have a barbecue. Happy Birthday to your fiancé!
