    Morning all,

It got light earlier but has now gone dark again :o Definitely looks like a Marti Pellow day. Haven't managed to sort out the shed guttering and water butt yet, which will be irritating every time it rains:(

Got running-around-a-field-getting-shouted-at tonight. Might need flippers instead of football boots.

I've just finished defrosting my freezer - waiting for an hour before putting the tiny amount of frozen stuff I have left having run it down for months. I'm always glad when that job is done and I've treated myself to a cuppa.
Hazel, its the high winds that are forecast I am dreading.

I've heard a rumour that flipper football will be included in the next Olympic games.

    Morning all.

@Biglad is obviously young enough to do proper scampering   :D

Son 1, lovely French wife and my 3 adorable granddaughters arrived for lunch on Friday, having stayed with Son 2 the night before. Son 1 lives on the edge of Burgundy so quite a drive, but our lockdown limit has just ended. It didn't rain that afternoon so we went to a local beauty spot and village and had homemade ice creams. Rain had been forecast.

Unfortunately, in the early evening youngest little girl was jumping on the sofa and hit her Daddy in the eye. It was so painful they went to A & E in the night. Poor Son 1, luckily no lasting damage, but it was very swollen, tearful and painful all weekend. On Saturday DIL and I took the girls for a walk so that Son 1 could sleep. Here they ae, admiring the local cows. They left on Sunday.

Hello Busy-Lizzie. I am so sorry to hear about the unfortunate accident and hospital trip for your son. I expect the smallest person was upset that she had hurt her Daddy too. Its good that no lasting damage was done. Your pictures are just lovely and thank you for sharing. The bottom picture has made me smile thinking about my next trip to France - whenever that may be.

Would you Adam and Eve it! Just as I was about to go out having restocked the freezer it started to torrent down. Curses and profane words as my Grandma used to say!

Morning all, Sorry I've been missing for a while but things haven't been too good so instead of continually moaning I decided to stay in the quiet corner.  Hope everyone is OK.
