Good morning all. Day off today rain forecast for most of it so planning to get all my basket plants out of the greenhouse at the allotment and onto my potting bench ready to make baskets for everyone. I will try to get them planted up at the weekend ready to deliver out next week, very late this year I am afraid but Blame it on the weather.
LB I hate sorting my freezer out so many unidentifiable packages. Lovely when it’s done though.
@Yviestevie sorry things are difficult but as others have said there is always a sympathetic ear and good advice on this thread. Take care.

LB your goodnight picture is so sweet , the kitten and the teddy bear.  Good morning Chive.  Enjoy your time with the little people.  Alfie didn’t eat much yesterday so I’m keeping an eye on him and he was sleeping longer than usual, but he seems okay this morning and he has had his breakfast so that’s positive.  It’s a cold one this morning and forecast rain.  I’m just having a cuppa.  Topbird enjoy your time in Scotland and keep warm.  I stayed in Edinburgh some years ago and had a lovely time.

Good morning Chive, Debs and RosieBB. Got my fingers crossed that you get away with it today Chive. I intend an early SM shop - just in case! Debs, I hope the forecast for the weekend is wrong in your case so you can get all those lovely haning baskets planted up. Its a good idea to keep an eye on Alfie RosieBB but the fact he has eaten is a good sign.
RHS Bridgewater opens today and that is top of my visiting list asap. Another 'cat' for you this morning:

    Morning all,

Bright and breezy here this morning. The forecast has been downgraded slightly but still should be mostly dry as I think the wet stuff is further south for a change ;)

Putting together the power washer is the main task this morning. Having opened the box, it looks like it might take slightly longer than I anticipated. I didn't realise they came in so many bits! Was hoping to just get it out and attach it to a water supply ;) It's going to be the OH's baby once it is operational. She has been borrowing her brother's for years and seems to enjoy zapping everything in sight!

I need to make some space in the shed for it to be stored as well. Currently 6 planters in various stages of development :o

    Morning all.
Grey and gloomy, not warm, outside.

Have trimmed my hair with the help of 2 mirrors. It was last cut, far too short, bit of a shock, in January. Now it looks how I like it.

    Going grocery and veg shopping.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Hello everyone. Had my early morning dash to 'sco and - joy of joys - it actually has started selling bedding plants! Took them long enough but worth the wait for me. I got a tray of 6 very large and well rooted French marigolds and a similar tray of petunias. They also had a lot of young acers but to be honest, I'm acered out in my garden. I'm waiting for the day they develop gardens with elastic sides.
Busy-Lizzie you are another brave person on here who cuts her own her. I would not dare!

  • Busylizzie well done cutting your own hair.  I do mine and the money I save goes towards Alfie’s food.  LB gardens with elastic sides would be good.  It’s amazing how we find room.  Biglad and Hazel the power washer sounds great fun, we must get out more.  It’s a sunny day but on the cool side.

I can now plant my succulents into a large dish .Spent a lot of time this morning getting an aquilegia out of a potted shrub . I wanted it intact .It’s a beautiful yellow .I will plant it in my border in the back garden .Back in for a rest .
