Afternoon all. Having a lovely time oop north. Drove up round Otterburn camp and the firing ranges yesterday. We were able to do a full circuit and explore roads which are often closed because the military have agreed with local farmers that they hold no military exercises during lambing season.

It was all incredibly remote and so quiet - no noise at all except sheep and birds. Not often you can be somewhere and not hear the distant drone of cars or machinery. Explored Roman & medieval earthworks and enjoyed some stunning views.

This morning we went for a (not as flat as promised🤬) bike ride & this afternoon we've come to the coast for a chippy tea😋.

    Sunny Beadnell harbour this afternoon:

Hello Pauline. Good to see you and what a lovely gesture from one of your neighbours. T'Bird, glad to hear you are having a good time and that picture is just wonderful - thanks for sharing. It could almost be a Mediterranean scene!

  • Lily I’ve spent the afternoon in my pyjamas which was lovely.  It has been a cold day today so wrapped up in a fluffy dressing gown.  I hope you kept warm.  Topbird sounds interesting.  Enjoy the fish and chips.  My mouth is watering.  Pauline that was a nice surprise for oh, a kind neighbour.

Good morning all. Dry here but rain forecast from 10am so an early trip to the allotment is needed I am planting stuff out now it looks as if warmer, if not drier, weather is on the way. Trying to see the rain as a positive because obviously we needed it after that dry April. It’s very annoying when it’s my day off and I can’t get into the garden but hoping things improve soon and we get some dry sunny days.

Good morning Debs and all to follow. I hope that you manage to get all your allotment tasks done Debs. Last night both Lily and I thought we had an intruder as it sounded as if the cat flap had been opened but no, it was a massive hail storm. The forecast doesn't sound too clever.
Have a wonderful Sunday VIP Animal Care
p.s. I'm off to see the rellies today but forgot to commiserate with the Chelsea fans after yesterday's result. I hope Hazel is pleased with her hair cut and that everyone has a wonderful Sunday. I've just made the mistake of watching the news. Dreadful news from the middle east.
