    Evening all,

Did a late stint outside and have just come in to watch the 2nd half. It's suddenly got a lot more Winkleman here and it looks like Marti could follow for for an overnight visit ;)

I could do with it raining in Paris for a day so I don't get tempted by watching tennis and wasting good gardening weather :(

Sounds like you've been to war today @Ladybird4 :o Take it easy.

I was going to binge watch The Pact but I'm not sure now if the ending was a bit indifferent for some of you.

    Evening everyone,
Another gorgeous sunny day.  Had a lovely time with the poppets 😍
I won't say a word about The Pact @Busy-Lizzie Oh heck sounds a bit of a hectic day. Hope E is feeling better now. Why did the old owner come round and trim the shrubs Lizzie, bit strange, or did you want them done.

I can't remember if I've talked about my new house and the old owner on this thread. He's French, he and his wife have a donkey which was supposed to have gone by the time I moved in but it has rather a spiteful character and the only place they found that would take it was a donkey sanctuary a long way away. So I said I would feed it for them, needs hay, until they were ready, if he would mow the lawn and water the garden when I go to England for OH's hip replacement. P had said he would do things for me in exchange. I wasn't going to bother about the grass verge outside behind the wall and leave it to the local council to do their twice yearly cut. But P says he's planted shrubs along the wall and the council man will mow them down if it isn't kept neat so he's decided to strim and prune.

  • Good morning all to follow.  It feels cooler this morning.  I woke around 5 and have had breakfast.  Busy interesting that you have a Donkey in your care.  We have a Donkey Sanctuary not far from here and they have on onnasions brought them to outside the sm to raise awareness funds, etc., where you can visit, sponsor them.

A very good morning to you all.  Definitely Winkleman here this morning Biglad. Thanks for explaining about P and the strimming and pruning Busy, I was wondering myself but forgot to ask!

Bestie and I might make the GC today - in the absence of the small person to play with but the new kinetic sand and dinosaur moulds may have arrived .......hmmmm.

Another thing that I forgot to ask yesterday:
Hazel, how is your granddaughter now? I hope that all is well with her.

Good morning everyone .You are an early bird Bb.As Bb says we have a donkey sanctuary down the road . A while ago it was nearly closed down for lack of funds .Public donations saved the sanctuary.
LB I hope that you get to the garden centre today but kinetic sand and dinosaur moulds sound great fun .

    Morning everyone,
How lovely @Busy-Lizzie that you have a Donkey.
@Ladybird4 have a lovely time at the GC 😉
I've woken up with hardly any voice, I've got a hair appointment this morning, do hope they let me in. I don't feel poorly and I've taken my temperature, which is normal. 🤞🤞 Have been thinking of ringing first.
@Biglad are you going to watch The Pact? It did have an ending.
    Have a lovely day everyone

Has anyone seen the news this morning, where a girl pushes a bear off her balcony as its trying to get at her dogs! Amazing!

The donkey looks cute, but it bites! He's bored, needs a friend, donkeys hate being on their own.
