Hello all hope everyone is enjoying their day? We were at allotment for 7.30 did two hours weeding and watering and tidying up. So many of the plots put ours to shame so neat and tidy but I suppose many of the plot holders are retired and can put the hours in. Sweet peas look good hoping for lots of bunches this year. 2 of my 6 courgette plants have died but I should still have plenty.
I should really be cleaning the bathroom but instead I will do a bit of weeding I think before work.

  • Hazel and LB it does seem hair does flourish in the summer months.  LB I’m glad you enjoyed time with bestie.   I visited the rellies this morning and had lunch with them and made a fuss of the their cats.  Hazel enjoy your time with 23 today, enjoy the butterflies and animals.  Lily I hope you soon get your voice back,  honey can be rather soothing.  Debs I hope oh has a good day catering and glad you found graham.  Chive enjoy the last Friday of your break and I hope the weather holds.

Afternoon All, had a nice morning with mum on a very wet Friday but it is still very mild,
Debs You are good doing all that at the allotment so early in the day, you have lots growing well that’s the most important thing. Hope the customers you see are more appreciative today,
Bluebells Nice to see your rellies for lunch and make a fuss of their cats, I’m sure they enjoyed your company too,
The weekend looks to be dry and sunny so hoping to get in the garden, it will all need trimming again after this rain.
    Have a nice afternoon everyone.

It has tipped with rain today, it did in the night too and woke me up.

I'm glad you had a good morning with Mum @Chivetalking.
I hope @star gaze lily's voice is back.

I've cleaned the 2 guest rooms for daughter and family tomorrow and made the beds. I went to the market this morning, much quieter than last week, must be the rain making people stay away. Bought English style sausages from free range pigs, strawberries and veg.

The bookcases are now painted (another two in the loft to paint though) and the study floor is washed.

Daughter 1 and family and I am going to Son 2's for lunch tomorrow to meet the new baby. Then daughter and family are coming back here until Sunday afternoon.

Evening all, I've been out in the garden all day.  Planted annuals and a couple of perennials that have been hanging around waiting for me to get my act together.  Removed a few plants that had either outstayed their welcome or got too big for their boots. Fed all the perennial pots and planted some Dahlias.  We went to secondborns last night and had drinks in the garden and a Turkish takeaway.  Hubby enjoyed himself as some of his colleagues from work were there.
The speech therapist called us this morning and arranged to come and see Hubby on Monday so that's a step forward.
Sorry to hear work is a pain @debs64 hope things improve soon.
You've been busy again @Busy-Lizzie I've got quite a few items of furniture that need painting if you run out of bookcases.
Hope your voice returns soon @star gaze lily
    Enjoy your evening everyone.

    Evening all,

I ended up out for most of the afternoon so came back and just sat out in the glorious sunshine. Came in to watch the cricket highlights without knowing anything that had happened during the day's play. Turns out some celebrity antique buying had infiltrated the field of play at Lords  :o

I'm guessing that means that it's been grim up north today ;)
