    Morning all.

I've had the summer duvet on for a few weeks now. When real summer comes, a lot of rain and cool this year, I'll just have a sheet. I bought a pretty quilt in the market, maybe I'll put that on the sheet for cooler nights, to match my newly painted (not quite finished) blue and white bedroom. It's Toile de Jouy on one side and roses and flowers on the other.

@Chivetalking, I won't be seeing Son 2's new baby next weekend because I'm going to stay with Daughter 1, 2 hours drive away, south of Poitiers.

Gosh, that looks a lot of work, @Ante30. Do you plant potatoes by hand? Do you have a farm? Do you sell potatoes? I'm fairly new to this thread, although I've been posting on this forum for about 9 years. I live in SW France, usually a warm place. I planted my potatoes, just 2 small rows, early April. They have just come into flower.

Hi Bussy. April is time for plant potatoes here too, but last two months it was only rain and unusually cold. I'm from Croatia so it should be pretty much war at April. I teaching at school but growing veggies is my passion. All together I have seven fields like those on photo and sell to the restaurants. Machine prepare the soil and rows, and rest of work is by hands.
I came to this forum three years ago and found here on Rezz remarkable kind and lovely people. Some ot them are not here anymore like our late Joyce.

Morning everyone,  another sunny morning. Will put wet cloth things out in a mo.
@Busy-Lizzie your new little grandson is gorgeous. Sorry to hear you couldn't see your family, do hope your grandsons hand heals soon and isn't too painful.
Hi @Ante30 good to see you. Goodness you have been busy. My back aches just thinking about it 😉 Lovely photo of your field.
@Ladybird4 have a lovely day with your family. Hope handy brother has a lovely day too....early birthday party 🎉
I just have a sheet on warm summer nights. Your new bedding sounds lovely @Busy-Lizzie I love that pattern.
Minds gone blank sorry, have a lovely day everyone, take care.

Oh no, did Joyce die? I remember her as she used to post on other threads too.

    Afternoon all,

Flippin' echium @Ante30 - that looks like back-breaking work! Good effort :)

I've been for a run with a couple of chaps that I've haven't run with for a while. As my fitness has trailed off, they've been running together 3 times a week for over a year. Hence, it was hard work this morning :( I intend to join them every Sunday from now on so I should, gradually, start to catch up to them.

Definitely Winkleman but no Marti forecast today. Should be able to have a productive afternoon in the garden.

Good afternoon everybody. I have had a lovely visiting day today. Shortly after I arrived home my neighbours returned from Blackpool and apparently their little girl had absolutely LOVED the sand and sea.The weather had been a little too hot for them at times so they were keeping a close eye on her.
I have never bothered ever with a summer weight duvet so can you lovely people definitely recommend that this is a good thing to have? I do the duvet hokey cokey like Chive
A wonderful picture of your potato fields Ante. Well done again for all your hard work.
Busy, Joyce's daughter got into touch with me on January 20th last year and asked me to break the news Rez and the forum about her sudden passing. It was a terribly sad time for all. I think about her through all the Season watch programmes as she and I used to get (I still do) very irritated by the presenter Gillian Burke and her constant 'flappy hands'. We always had a good moan about it.
Hazel, will this be your last visit to the dentist for a while after tomorrow's appointment?
Biglad, go for it but don't overdo things!

Hi folks,  That looks like hard work @Ante30 I planted up 4 potato grow bags and I was shattered never mind a field.  Charles is a real cutie @Busy-Lizzie, cuddling babies is simply the best (especially when you can give them back).
I've been  on the laptop for a while this morning trying to sort out my Sofology delivery, it's a nightmare.  I'm beginning to think I will never get the furniture.  One things for sure I will never use them again.
Been to the supermarket with Hubby, he usually goes on his own but it's proving a bit much for him at the moment.
We had rain over night and the second batch of carrots has germinated, rain is always so much more effective than watering.
I'm going to try and plant the last of my annuals/perennials grown from seed today.
    Have a good day everyone.

@Ladybird4 I've never bothered with a summer quilt either. I just use a sheet on warmer nights and possibly a throw on top if gets a little cooler, with the duvet on the bed when made in the morning.
@Yviestevie do hope you get Sofology  sorted out. We nearly bought some sofas from them a couple of years ago. Had chosen exactly what we wanted and was all ready to go back to order but heard so many complaints about them we went somewhere else. They were really helpful and knowledgeable when looking and had such a great choice. I do hope you get everything sorted. Have you paid in full? Could you get your money back and start again?
Hope your OH is on the mend, take care.

@Songbird-1 It does make a change for you to have a restful day always on the go normally, though I understand what you mean about it feeling more tiring hopefully that means you are fully relaxed 😌
