    Afternoon all,

Was glorious early doors but the grey clouds keep looming, threatening and then buggering off. The forecast is telling me to wait until the weekend but I'll probably get out there shortly.

  • Chive have a good time with mum today.  LB I’m glad your sorted with a good engineer.  Lily will be glad it’s over.  Debs I hope oh gets on okay with the jab and doesn’t suffer any ill effects.  I’ve done the washing and hung it and I’m just about to make a cuppa.  Hazel I hope your daughters scan is okay.  Biglad it looks like it’s going to pour it down here, any moment.

Sorry to hear about your granddaughter Hazel, hope the scan brings positive news.
Had a bit of a lousy time myself over the last few weeks.  Apart from not being well myself, Gabriel has been in hospital with breathing problems again.  We had the car clamped for non payment of road tax, had no idea it was due and didn't get any sort of reminder.  That got Hubby into such a state that he had a stroke.  He's managed to get the use of his arm and leg back but so far he can't communicate as his speech has gone.   I can't visit him in hospital as no visitors are allowed, although they did give me 10 minutes with him when he was first admitted. At the moment I'm just wondering when this awful time will come to an end.

Good afternoon all. Good grief Yvie. You and yours have really been through the mill haven't you. I was so sad to hear about your OH too. If the DVLA haven't notified you then surely you should be able to appeal against the fine? Hopefully your OH's speech will come back gradually. It must be heartbreaking for you not being able to visit. Have you any idea as to when he will be allowed home? How is young Gabriel? Keep your chin up Chuck. Remember you can always sound off to us. Sending you a big hug x

I finally got out into the garden and my first big clemmie is looking rather fine.

Thank you Ruth. It sort of snuck upon me as when I took the earlier picture of the choisya there were only buds on the clemmie.

Thanks Hazel. My montanas have been in flower for a while but this the first of the larger flowered clemmies. I am a bit concerned about my passion flower as I am not seeing much growth on it at all and it flowered so beautifully last year.
