Mixed red climbers on the arch are just going over. Bottom of the pic is a not very well captured Moonlight climber shrub. Whites are hard to photograph. Next door is No Mow May, June and the probably the rest of the year - great cover for wildlife.
Saw fly is everywhere suddenly, the caterpillars, the eggs, the damage. It's the first year of big damage for me. Do ladybords eat sawfly life forms?i The Alliums are over, having flowered for about a week. Dahlias are growing fast/

This is my view of the neighbours' garden - unknown Morrisons' SM yellow and reds always pruned well each year for a good display. Yellow is along the west fence and red along the east.
Lovely pictures from everyone. My roses are very slow to start this year, most of them are still in bud and not in flower. Couple of notable exception.
Cecile Brunner is putting on quite a show already:
‘lucky’ is just starting - not looking as good as last year but plenty of buds and very vigorous:
And I like Anna Ford, very yellow, tinged with pink and lovely scent. It seem to have recovered from the Deer damage, it’s about half the size compared to early spring it growing nicely now.
What do you normally do with these very long new canes which my Gertrude Jekyll has thrown up this year (never done it before), I've got another one just out of shot but that has buds on the top and is very top heavy; both are out of keeping with the shape of the bush. I'm obviously tempted to chop them off, but where; in the middle or at the bottom. @Fire...I looked upon those things as just a curiosity last year having never seen them before and not knowing what they were, and certainly not knowing the damage they could do. This year I've been on the hunt for them every day, and so far I've killed about a dozen of them. Fortunately they're not very flighty and are easily despatched.
Not surprised to see Desdemona popular in this thread. I looked round the new rose garden at Lowther Castle last year and Desdemona was by far the best
"What is hateful to you, do not do to your neighbour".
How can you not like her when she looks like this in the morning sun...
Eustacia Vye.. pleasant rose fragrance.. cannot comment more as she is next to a catmint and I could smell that mint in her bloom.. will see how her next bloom does..
My rose of the day is 'Belle de Crécy' On the purple theme, 'Purple Skyliner' is also starting + 'Eyes for You' in full flush 'Paul Transon' 'Crépuscule' 'Marie Pavie' The back garden
Wow, lovely photos all. Nice to see roses in full flushes.
I had a lovely sit outside for an hour just enjoying listening to the birds, watching the bees and taking photos. I’m usually busy when I’m in the garden, I haven’t had much chance to just sit and take it in.
roses - Malvern Hills, Ghislaine opening, Royal Jubilee nearly there, Rhapsody in Blue
Gabriel Oak is finally doing something!
Bees, and a hover fly. I’ve been complaining about not seeing many bees in the garden but there were lots this evening. Bless them, they can’t figure out the aquilegia unless they land on them seemingly by accident. They just kept poking their tongues around on top but not getting anywhere.
Purples
Wildflowers
Just spotted some variation in my seed grown chives, plant behind has more pale pinky flowers.

My Desdemona bare root is budding up nicely. The pink streaks on the buds are surprising.
