    ..sorry I don't know your rose.. too many reds.. would need to know where it was bought, from whom, and when, might help a little..

    what's your Lavender called?  I've got one but a different colour..

    @Mr. Vine Eye
    Your roses will astonish us all very shortly.. looking forward to those very much...

    @Eustace
    .. nice to see Golden Showers, not one we see so often these days... I used to have it..

    @celcius_kkw
    I've not been to DA's garden but I've seen the videos...  my favourite, or one, is Mannington, Norfolk and I'm going there at the end of June... it's not an Austin garden though, mostly Old Roses and ramblers..  there are  many lovely rose gardens some only open occasionally.. DA's is very concentrated I think..  I'll try make a list up sometime ..

  • @Marlorena its a dwarf  lavandula stoechas , ( i think its 'Anouk' but as it is from a diy/general home/garden place not a nursery  I wouldn't be 100% sure of accuracy there ) -- I bought a few allegedly angustifolia hidcote from them and that is looking like more like some kind of hybrid so far )
    Kindness is always the right choice.

    @Marlorena, very interesting behaviour from QoD--I've only occasionally seen a flower that looks like this, especially in the colour which is darker than usual. It must be the cool weather (or is it a new plant?). Often, too, they don't form such large clusters of buds. Mine's still a week or two away from flowering. It is poorly sited but I have no intention of moving it or giving it up :smiley:

    @celcius_kkw I would say 1.5-2 weeks to get some roses (there were some big fat buds only waiting for warmer weather) while still seeing the laburnum arch and rhododendrons in bloom. Or 3-4 weeks for the peak rose blooming time.
