@Tack my lawn is no mow. Seems to be all the compaction from the boys feet..just doesn't seem to grow! Think last year I mowed it...maybe twice all year. Stays green though at least.
I did a meadow mix patch as well but no grasses seemed.to come through with it, it's all the perennial flowers - ribwort, knapweed, campion, ox-eye daisies and yarrow. I'm going to plant the cowslips I bought in there too.
Love it, shame it all got squashed midsummer by the boys paddling pool lid. It's secured better this year! 😄

Despite a greenfly attack and being battered by heavy rain, one of my 'Blue For You' finally has a bud very close to opening, lots more to come I hope.

My Blue for You isn't quite as far on as yours @D0rdogne_Damsel , but they do seem to be bullet proof as far as weather is concerned. The only time it sulked was the year I had to hard prune it, as it had reached 5ft.
It too had greenfly along with my new orange patio rose Sparkle, two days later they are clear, thanks to bluetits and sparrows.🙂
Regarding The Prince, I second the strong stems/no nodding blooms. It is a mostly upright rose, huge heavy buds but they face up. Although mine isn't as tall and vigorous as Nollie's. No buds for me yet, only leaves and a little bit of rust. It needs sun and warmer temperatures to get going.

Sounds wonderful.
The light is weird this morning, we are due thunderstorms very soon, couldn’t quite get the blooms in focus!
