Oh dear @Marlorena, I bought this one a couple of years ago thinking it was a dwarf variety. No wonder I've been surprised :o

@Marlorena, well once SW got going last year, it never stopped blooming, constantly producing throughout the season and beyond. Looks like it’s going to do the same this year. Mine is fanned out a low fence, about 5ft, but I think it could get taller. The stems are fairly stiff, so it might even work as a large, arching shrub..

Thanks all for your kind words of welcome.  I’ll be posting pictures of my roses with pride and joy without fail 😀

Must learn not to get wound up by moronic climate change deniers. It’s not worth arguing with them. Can’t help it though!

Very wet outside today. So probably be inside all day. I can see buds on Ghislaine De Feligonde though, as she’s right next to the window. Meant to be better tomorrow so will hopefully get to the plot. I’ve got foxgloves ready to prick out ready for next year in the garden. Will miss them this year!

@Marlorena Sounds like you’ve had your fair share of gale casualties..! Must be heart wrenching! For me the only consolation to the recent spat of storm damage is the significant rise in night temperatures from this weekend onwards.. not long now till I’m ready to plant out my annuals.. and I’m sure the roses would relish the warmer nights as well.

Yes I’m really pleased the night time temps are starting to rise, I’m in the same boat as you @celcius_kkw, so many annuals waiting to be planted out so I can clear out my little grow house to make way for some tomato plants which are arriving any day now. Not grown tomatoes before so thought it best to start off with plug plants. It’s tipping down here but can’t complain as the garden badly needs it.

@Bright star tomatoes are very easy to grow from seed.

Its tipping down here too, and the garden no longer needs it so it’s now a pain. Set to be like this all weekend now too. So much to do at the plot but it’s torrential!
