I've actually got some roses to show this year. First flower on Mme Alfred Carriere, Rosa glauca bursting into profuse flower and (my favourite) Rosarie De l'Haye
"What is hateful to you, do not do to your neighbour".
@cooldoc ..blimey your roses are so healthy, not a blemish.. and so well grown.. I love The Poet's Wife.. yours is nice and compact... is that a Matucana [Cupani] Sweep Pea?.. nice scent on that..
@Loxley .. some lovely roses and other things.. I do like your Acer in the pot..
@owd potter .. don't know that for sure.. I did think 'Pink Perpetue', as it's the most common and popular of that type, but the foliage doesn't look quite right.. have to pass on that one for now..
@Nollie, such a beautiful rose Guy Savoy. Added to my wishlist.
@Mr. Vine Eye, waiting for your royal jubilee to bloom. It was your photos and not DA photos that made me buy it. Mine has little buds now. Your Malvern Hills is so well trained and spectacular.
I love your pot collection @newbie77, so much to look forward too still. Going out every morning (actually I peer through all my windows first thing after getting out of bed) to see what has opened is a lovely start to the day.
Today I was totally thrilled to see this is what Utopia looks like and such great foliage, a great buy 'just to make up worthwhile delivery charge from Italy'.
Utopia foliage. Jingle bells, Sandringham, RhapsodyiB, Eye of the Tiger in background.First blooms today Sandringham, EyeotTiger,Charles Darwin,Wollerton OH.My husband's favourite opening, nothing subtle about Easy Does itJust love Eglantyne, Easy Does it with AbFab and RiBOh no @owd potter , Toyah still not definitively identified. Angel eyes this morning, very crisp! But todays rose of the day, wow, cant quite got colour captured but its red not pink - im not sure on name, garden show cheapie but this is the biggest bloom its ever had! I gave it empathy rose feed again and manure mulched and its gone mad. Smells gorgeous. Its terrible for blackspot, its about to get blasted with roseclear again. @Marlorena any ideas? Dark green leaves on right (lefts a raspberry!)
