@Shenny dont cut back the repeats now, they are just resting so just trim any dead or scruffy / damaged bits as needed. You should start to see little nubs forming at the base of leaves etc and sprouting that will become new growth soon, so shouldnt need to do anything for now
I’m sure me and the roses will cope, thanks @tack, but there go my budding purples and hello more magentas. That’s a lot of strong pinks, you’ve outdone me there. I cracked and binned Chartreuse de Parme yesterday, I couldn’t bear looking at it’s ugly black-spotted face anymore.
I’m going to attempt to purchase Salita again this year, a last attempt at an orange rose. Overall this lot do orange better - first is a new echinacea, looks a tad pink but glows a fiery orange from a distance:
Mountainous Northern Catalunya, Spain. Hot summers, cold winters.
Jude the obscure, lady of Shalott, young lycidas, Deelish, lady Emma Hamilton, Julia child, royal jubilee, the poet's Wife, Olivia rose Austin, Thomas a Becket, Gabriel Oak, crimson glory and munstead wood.
I hope you do get time to enjoy your roses @newbie77, they are lovely. Some from the garden. Only Rambling Rosie is really smothered St Boniface, Bathsheba, Royal William and Alexander with one of its ferocious thorny canesI agree Marie Pavie is a really good pot roseSandringham blooms are sparse and foliage not great
