@Janie B I think mine has recovered a bit, but I’ll take a photo a bit later. It’s still a bit behind other roses, but looking better.

@Marlorena, the photo is the front lawn and that is my OH’s area of expertise, you would be impressed more with the edges on the back lawn, brand new and edged with galvanised stainless steel, looks really crisp.

@Bright star your peonies are quite impressive.
Oxford. The City of Dreaming Spires.
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils (roses). Taking a bit of liberty with Wordsworth :)

@pitter-patter, I like everything about your garden. Love the pergola, love the pot. You have got eye for detail and very good choice.

Thanks @Eustace. I bought quite a few new ones last year after having the back garden landscaped, I have much bigger borders now. The duchess de nemours is the 1st one I planted 4 years ago and last year it truly took off, Claire de lune is a new one, surprised it flowered. Also got Coral charm, Buckeye belle, Shirley temple and miss America. Almost but not quite as good as a rose!😂

@cooldoc GJ flowers earlier than most roses (in my garden, that's the 2nd half of May/1st half of June, depending on the weather). She opens the rose season and is absolutely breathtaking. Then she has a very long gap while she produces new growth. Then she flowers again in August when most of the other roses are between flushes. And again, she is the queen of the garden. There can be some additional blooms in early October if we get very warm autumn but usually, there aren't.

@JessicaS That was me. I got Mileva.

@Marlorena It would be nice to have our own forum or at least a section, wouldn't it. And having all this split into several threads, instead of one very long and very busy. Anyway, looking forward to your thread.
