I might have to get a Munstead in the autumn on point of principle. I'm not sure I can stand life without one much longer. :D
It’s still tricking my camera though. It looks very deep red in the photo but it’s actually very deep burgundy pushing more towards purple than red. So I’m not sure why it’s coming out that way.

I need to finish some office work so logged back at my desk and wasn't feeling much enthusiastic about it.
Now while things were starting on desk, I refreshed this thread and what a beautiful selection of roses @Mr. Vine Eye and @pitter-patter. I am feeling happier now.

@Fire, yes you need MW in your life :D

  • @pitter-patter it's interesting my easy does it flowers seem more orange than yours ( even after the fade in colour as they fully open - possibly because mine is not as sunny a location ( probably gets 4-5 hours of sun, and not the strongest 2-4 pm slot). and @Tack -- gorgeous rose.. and since my chandos beauty bloom looks pretty much exactly like yours you have saved me uploading a photo :) . CB seems to be growing a bit lopsided in its pot though, will have to fix that when I get to pruning next winter.
Kindness is always the right choice.

@pitter-patter I also have belle de jour (bare root) which hasn't flowered yet. After looking at yours, I can't wait for mine to open! It looks really similar to Roald Dahl! How does it smell?

Yes, looks very similar to Olivia Rose Austin for my rose-tinted eyes  :)

And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils (roses). Taking a bit of liberty with Wordsworth :)
