    A very good morning's aphid squashing session. It really is very satisfying.

    .... @Eustace
    ..thanks for that.. interesting what others do isn't it?.... we're not sure what we're doing just yet.. but thank you..

    @Omori
    .. I'm amazed, that's a good size.. one often reads such detrimental things about that rose.. I've no idea why I don't have one because I love the colour tones on the blooms and foliage..

    @Sammymummy
    ..oh that's nice,..  I'm glad you're pleased with it, I think it's an understated rose..

    ..I don't bother about aphids, but leaf rolling sawfly can do a lot of damage to buds..

    Beautiful 🌹 @Marlorena

    My friend has sent me this photo of her rose and asking if it is due to some disease. I don't know. What do you all think?

    I’ve just placed an order for some ladybug larvae.. I’ve decided to take the plunge and give it a go now frosts seem to have passed. I’ll share my experience in due course.

    @Athelas I’m looking forward to seeing your Mayflower - it’s been recommended by DA as highly suitable for a windy spot - of which I still have a few on the balcony. How long have you had it for?

    I had lots of ladybirds overwintering in the garden but then they seem to have all flown off as soon as the aphids arrived!

    I imagine that I've done so much shifting around of plants this year with the patio etc. That it probably disturbed them.

    Lots at the allotment though. I suppose I could catch a few there and bring them back! (Wouldn't really do that)
