..thanks so much.. very kind.. he loved his garden too..
moving on.. this is my 'Armada' obelisk.. a climbing floribunda to 8 or 10 feet, straight up... I try to keep at 6-8 feet... of rude health as you would expect of an ADR winner.. Still some way off flowering..
@Marlorena So sorry for your loss. I haven’t had a pet since I left school but I still have fond memories of our house cat who sadly got run over by a car one day. She had a bad tendency to shoot across the street when there’s a car coming.. she’s always got away with it until I think she just got too old and became less agile than she used to be..
@Omori I have been using SB plant invigorator since early spring and I have found it highly effective actually. The aphids that I sprayed on turned into black dried up spots on day 2-3. I do agree with Bright star that it’s probably best to avoid spraying when rainy spells are on the horizon as it will probably dilute it and make them less effective. Overall I find that it works better than Rose Clear - the latter clearly leads to insecticide resistance on repeated applications. I also feel much better using an organic product that isn’t toxic to humans and other insects.
Most of my orange and yellow roses are really behind this year, so still majoring on the burgundy/pink..

So sorry for your loss @Marlorena. We have several little inscribed plaques in the garden dedicated to pets that have left us, they are lovely little reminders that they are still with us in spirit. Perhaps one for near his favourite rose, the one he used to sit on?
Mountainous Northern Catalunya, Spain. Hot summers, cold winters.
ha.. well, he used to dig up a few. I'm not sure he liked roses too much. Plaques are a nice idea, I hadn't thought of that.. Are you better pleased with Burgundy Ice now then @Nollie ? it's looking better I think..
however. ..thanks so much once again.. very kind .. sad about the cat there Adrian..
@Sammymummy .. I'm delighted to see another member with Scented Garden.. I have a bud on mine that's been waiting to open for about 2 weeks.. I feel like blowing the hair dryer over it..
@Omori ..is that just one Lady Emma? or a group, I can't remember.. it looks quite luxuriant..
@Marlorena, it is from your good self I had inspiration to get Scented Garden 😘. Last year, in its first, flowers were more or less plain yellow and I was in two minds whether to keep it or not. This year’s first bloom is gorgeous and I hope it continues 🙂
