It’s a five (or six?) spot burnet @Tack, lots around. Sadly not so with the hummingbird hawkmoths that emerged too early to find no food. The latter love the shrubby agastaches but they’ve barely got going even now.
Funnily enough my Golden Beauty is not crisping, it’s in more direct sun than LEH. It’s meant to be be heat tolerant, which is why I bought it. It’s seems the only one of Kordes’ Sunbelt range released in Europe. Not sold on it yet, but early days.

Your Boscobel is looking fantastic @peteS , those caterpillars are sawfly I think and will cause lots more damage.
Very pretty @Eustace, it is such a shame they go over so quickly in this weather but wandering around them in the early morning is a delight I think.
I am tracking my Golden Beauty out for delivery now. I had so many potted deliveries last year, this is probably my only one this year, I just love the anticipation of a full plant, better than expecting a bouquet of flowers. This is from Trevor White so usually very good but it was the last one in stock, so that worries me a bit. Excited
@Tack I know; they seem to favour Boscobel over all the other roses for some reason, but I have been keeping them under control all summer and these were despatched with shortly after the photo was taken...but they'll be back.
A lovely fragrant bouquet for my desk. Cream and Pink two tone ones are Elle, Yellow is The Poet's wife, Purple is Young Lycidas, top light pink one is Sharifa Asma and the one at the back is Jude the obscure. All the reading in this forum and hmf has paid off. I am so happy with my selection
Golden Beauty and Birthe KjærLovely rich colour, not one I had.Jingle Bells only crisping slightly on a very hot patio.Proper Job is coping better than LadyoS but the latter is really on a growth spurt.Blush Noisette is very dear but the blooms go over quickly at the moment.Loving the thalictrum, my first (of 3 different ones) after seeing it on GW, with Mainauduft.
Hope all your roses survive the hot weather, doesn’t look too bad above. No more from me until next week, if there is anything left to come back to! I’m flying to the UK tomorrow to see my elderly parents for the first time in nearly two years. Irritatingly, I have to quarantine at theirs for my short stay, despite being a British citizen/passport holder and been jabbed with the UK-approved Moderna and tested up to my eyeballs. The irony is I’m more likely to catch something from my extended sister’s family that will doubtless descend!
Happy rosing 🌹
