My climbers are only in their second or third season with me so I'm no expert. I am just trying to get the canes as horizontal as I can, it seems serious canes that need attention develop in the second season with me. The climbers just seemed bushy up to that point and I couldn't make out what was what, monster thick canes then made themselves known. Fingers crossed

Silas marner. It s starting to grow on me , it's flowers can look nice , but the body of the plant is a mess of octopus canes. I hope it becomes a more attractive plant over the next year. But I like it more now that its in its autumn flush than I did in the summer ,so its improving .
@Victoria Sponge yes its glenfidditch, spot on, very well remembered!! The tall bloom next to it is mountbatten.

Bathsheba - very pretty and has flowered well this year. I forgive her for the pongy smell! 😉
Lovely to see some blue sky today. Malvern Hills flowering away. I think I prefer the relaxed, cascading way it blooms on the second flush.
