Sounds like a very good day @Busy-Lizzie.  Good for you.

Simple food for us on Thin Thursdays but tomorrow is Take Out Friday and I found some fancy, marinaded artichoke hearts today and that led me to pizzas.  I also found some proper buffalo mozzarella.  OH will no doubt bury his in spicy chorizo and anchovies.  heathen.

Possum is cooking on Saturday.  She asked me to get parsnips but, of course, it is now spring.  Needs to learn about seasonality and adjust her menu.   We've already had our first few asparagus spears out of the garden last week but I think the frosts have got the next lot.

@Dovefromabove no point worrying about rude people.

    Not worried @Obelixx
... too old a hand to worry about bad manners and arrogance ... just a bit bemused why the tetchy ones often think I’m male ... is it ‘cos they’re blokey blokes and want another one to pick a fight with ... when they discover I’m a ‘mild-mannered older woman’ theyre disappointed ? 😂
Not that I’m going to lose any sleep over it ... it’s funny 🤣

I am all light headed & there's a draught round my ears!
Had to go to Boots to get my eye drops,  I  could see the Barber's had no queue,  while at the lights waiting to turn in to shopping centre,  so I went for it. There was just one in front of me,  my wife can't believe how lucky I've been,  got my last cut 1 day before the last lockdown. 🙂

Morning all. Cold and sunny here. The weather prediction is no rain for at least 3 weeks. Nothing new then!

Hosta, glad your day went well.  A coincidence is that when we drove out our front gate the day before yesterday, there was a dead Wombat on the road. Hubby got out to lift it off the road, but it was too heavy to lift, so he dragged it to the side.  Poor thing!  I think our male under 25 neighbours have been taking aim again.  😡. When we came home yesterday, the crows (ravins) were trying to have a feed off him. I think the tough skin was defeating them though. There must have been about 10 of them flew off as we got near.

Glad some of you are getting your vaccine. We haven’t been offered the choice yet, but there’s not been any cases of the virus around here yet, so I think they’re concentrating on the cities.

    Sleep well everyone.

Hosta, here’s the wombat. Looks as though the ravens have been successful at breaking through his skin. 🥺😩

    Morning all.

Oh dear @Pat, did you have to post that first thing in the morning?

    Mild frost and sunny again.

I hope you weren't cold in the night @Allotment Boy!

    My arm aches a bit.
