Just had first dental appointment for 18 months, seemed very well organised.

Agree it is freezing today, after the last few days it did not inspire me to go out.

Afternoon forkers. Thank you for starting the April thread @Dovefromabove

I have a long weekend now. Did the hospital trip with Dad this morning. 40 plus mile round trip but hopefully he can go to the local hospital for some of the weekly appointments if things are going well. Brilliant little team looking after him. The ‘plastering’ practitioner was awesome - such a professional job.

In accordance with the ‘rules’, I popped to see my little sis and niece in their garden to give them some Easter goodies. I have missed them so much and can’t wait until ‘sleepovers’ are safe again.

Have a lovely weekend folks, whatever you are up too.

My garden and I live in South Wales.

Have you managed to register with a GP yet @Busy-Lizzie? They are also doing the vaccinations. I had mine done at the doctors last week.
No, I have to be ill to register. My dentist son will see if he can get me a vaccine, but it isn't my turn yet as I'm not yet 70.

I chose different tiles, only to find this afternoon that they have been discontinued too. Back to the shop tomorrow morning.

@tuikowhai34, it is BL who isn't vaccinated yet, I had mine last week. Thank you anyway.

That's just what I thought Hosta, had lots of creeping buttercup in my Shady Bed, wind wasn't too bad kneeling down!
You're both right Busy-Lizzie and Dove, they are Saddleback pigs. The cynic in me thinks the developer could be devious enough to do a trade-off with the residents in the expensive estate opposite the wood  i.e. you don't object to my plans and I'll take the pigs away. Big pigs equals a lot of smelly manure!

Talking about smells, I've just installed a CatWatch deterrent near our veg beds. Be interesting to see if it works. I think Allotment Boy recommended it, so thanks for that.

Had two conversations with son today as we were hoping to meet up over the weekend for a picnic lunch. thought of Longleat as being halfway but they appear to be charging over £30 per person for entry, entry to the grounds used to be free I believe. Stourhead is fully booked. Methinks everywhere with open space is going to be packed!

@floralies    Whoops - got mixed up.    Sorry about that!  Tired after SM (then disinfecting items before putting them away) and digging this afternoon.  The old grey mare .....!

Busy day for me too.  Up and baking flapjacks at 9am for this pm's committee meeting then off to Leclerc at Les Sables d'Olonne because I'd ordered online a special Easter egg for Possum from Jeff de Bruges.  No record of order or payment and no more eggs of that type so I've had to improvise.  Home for a quick snack and then off to the garden club meeting the other side of La Roche.   10km limit as of Saturday so no plant fair.  No golf for OH either as it's 17km away.   Good meeting tho.

No jab for me yet as I'm under 70 too.   Can't get on a list either tho we've tried and I've also registered interest with my GP.  I shall need a signed form for the next few SM raids and we're off to a local DIY store tomorrow to buy cement and wooden posts, just in case.  I shall need a form for my dentist's appointment next week too.

25C today and 21C expected tomorrow but after that it's low teens or single figures and an expected "feels like" -8C on Tuesday night.  Brrrr.  My baby toms and chillies will be staying tucked up then and I shall sow some more stuff indoors.

Hope everyone is well.   Lockdown easing looks like it's tricky in certain quarters where people are being thoughtless so do stay safe.   Expecting the Parisians to descend en mass this weekend.  Lovely.

I'm off to cook dinner and start some HC buns off.

A busy day Obelixx. I've had the same type of difficulty trying to get special dark chocolate eggs out of Sainsbury's. Tried two weeks running, 'not available'!  Why advertise them if you don't have enough in stock. Luckily I said no substitutions this week, otherwise I'd have ended up with a cupboard full. Granddaughter will have to have Dairy Milk ones and lump it.

It's a shame you're now in lockdown again, Possum must be really p....d up by now let alone you and your OH.
