    I’ve done some tidying
outside ... a bit more potting on ... and I’ve sown the runner beans into the loo roll tubes and they’re installed in the heated windowsill propagator on the dining room windowsill.

    Now it’s lunchtime 😊

Greetings Forkers.   Weekly SM raid done with no worries except for there being none of Possum's beer.   Glorious sunshine now after a bit of cloud early on and we're set to get to 23C this weekend.  Unfortunately, the 14mm of rain we were expecting from Monday have diminished to 5mm from next Friday.  That's me on watering duty then.

Pleased you injuries are healing so well @Pat E and hope the floor laying goes well @D0rdogne_Damsel.   No more plant buying here @Busy-Lizzie as I have so much seed but I did get some deep red marigolds in Leclerc cos I liked the rich colour.   Belgian honeysuckle is lovely.

Pleased your mum has moved OK @punkdoc and hope she's comforted by having little sis there.

No hats here - head and face are not hat shaped and my hair is smooth and straight so they slide off.  Hoods and scarves for me when it's cold.  Sunscreen when it's hot.

Enjoy your day Forkers.  Hugs where needed.

    Afternoon all,
@punkdoc, glad mum is in the new home x

@didyw, jewellery making and repairs,  and your in Suffolk? I'm wondering where,  my engagement ring is needing the stone resetting.  An unusual design in  chunky silver with water amethyst.  I've been looking for someone for over a year to work on it....😉
Got the boys over tonight for dinner so chilli and all the trimmings to do laterbut a potter in the garden first I think.
    Love that dahlia @Dovefromabove!!

Adore the idea of everyone wearing a hat on July 3rd, I will insist as well that you all have a glass of your favourite tipple alongside it :)

I don't work Thursdays so just pottering about today, tidied (almost) all the kitchen/dining room and in a bit moving onto putting the clothes away in the bedroom so I can hoover, then I need to drop a wedding invite round at my friends who lives in the village. It's gorgeous down here today - somewhat concerned about the speed session I've booked on for tonight with my running club, I am a very cold weather runner...

I have no idea if this was a good plan or not but I ordered some dahlia tubers last night in desperation as mine seem to be well and truly not fussed about doing anything except rotting. Probably will arrive too late for this year but we shall see!

@punkdoc glad to hear your mums new home is nice and has good staff x

Sorry Wonky Womble - I never progressed beyond the first term at the silversmithing course so my stone setting skills are not up to working on customer's precious jewellery. Restringing and knotting is where I'm at.

Afternoon all, @Dovefromabove had my eye on Walzing Matilda for ages but this year I've bought 3 Orange Bishops and 3 Cerise Bishops (can't remember the name of which Bishops they are). Have to find somewhere for them first before buying any more.  Have just finished planting some Carex Sparklers in what will be my summer pots.  Had a delivery from Hardy's Plants a peony, veronicastrum and a veronica.  Really good plants and reasonably priced so a shout for them from me.
Glad you are happy with mum's new home @punkdoc

Thanks for your response  @didyw. 😀 would you be able to recommend anyone please? I had a horrendous experience,  had it reset, fell out 23 hours later,  found the stone amazingly after a week!!! The stone is quite special as its a large kashmir cut water amethyst and although not high value but has great personal sentiments attached  😀

My my what a chatty bunch.  I did my first volunteer day of the year today. I  must be daft  I still have lots to do here and on plots,  but I do enjoy it.
I have Exochorda envy now,  there are 2 in the Japanese garden, huge and full of flowers.  Ours is flowering but it's small compared to theirs.
