@Nanny Beach it seems a buffet dress is one that is not close fitting and has gathered layers of skirt in increasingly wide bands falling from the bodice - very 70s I think.  Anyway, it seems to mean you can go to the buffet as much as you like without bursting out as it is so loose.   Not a good style for my hourglass which is a constant whether I'm feeling slim or podgy.

@didyw - even the French aren't necessarily chic round here.  Depends on character, taste, job and budget more than nationality anyway.   I do try to be presentable and coordinated tho when I'm out and about but not in the garden or for DIY.

    I hope your eyebrows are well-trimmed @Hostafan1!!

I've had my vaccination  Such a relief. I felt quite emotional, about being protected and about all those people who've worked so hard to find vaccines. I think it's the only way out of this situation.

That was interesting about Marmite @Dovefromabove, I'd never thought of Marmite having anything to do with beer and yeast.

P came with hay and took the donkey out out so that I could collect his piles of droppings. I got 6 barrowloads full, now in a heap in the veg area. Will be good for my next rose bed.

I think I'll watch Sewing Bee tonight. Just waiting for my herby chicken to cook. Having fresh French asparagus too, a treat. I went to the "Grand Frais" greengrocer after my jab. Strawberries for pud.

@Hostafan1 why is it the tetchy folk who think I’m a chap? 🤔 ... and why does it make any difference 🙃

That's very good news @Busy-Lizzie - on all fronts!
We've just had butterflied sea bass fillets but no puds as we treat ourselves on Thursdays to Danish pastries via Sainsbury's. Gotta watch those calories!
Spent some time earlier changing broadband supplier - what a palaver, nearly lost the will to live.
