    Thanks everyone.   Chook was wandering around eyeing up the PSB patch when OH went down just after 7am to let them out.  -1.7C at the time so I hope she'd found herself a warm and cosy spot but doesn't do it again.  I did not sleep well.

    SM run for me this morning and dentist this pm so could have done with a good sleep.

    Admire your energy @D0rdogne_Damsel and good to get a decent bike.  We all have good ones tho no longer brand new.  I discovered one summer that the lanes here are definitely not flat when I went out with Possum but the stupid knee means I won't be getting fit that way this year.   Just walkies can be dodgy.

    Glad you're enjoying your volunteering @chicky and seeing results is so rewarding.

    Hope you're healing well @Pat E.  Minstrel tried to come in with a live lizard last week on a warm day.  She was "persuaded" to drop it and then the poor thing dived behind a plant pot by the front door and we had to clear the cat and Rasta doggy from hunting mode.

    Did anyone see Owain doing the new ice bucket challenge on the BBC North West news last night?   Hilarious.   He's lovely.

    Right then, 2nd coffee needed and then I'm off.

    Here we are at Day 3.

    I wonder how much more it will spread. I’m not used to getting a black eye. 🙄😁😁

    Morning all, sunny but cold, must go and see how things have fared in the GH. Hopefully it will turn a tad warmer now so I will sow my cucumbers, tomatoes, pumpkins etc. Take care if you venture outside @Pat E! Glad you have found your chook @Obelixx, always a worry that something might find them when they are out. Have a good day everyone whether it be cycle rides, gardening or just taking it easy!

    That’s a real corker @Pat E 🤕. we’ll try not to do anything eyebrow-raising or hair-curling for a few days!  Its usually @Hostafan1 who misbehaves ... on your best behaviour down there in the southwest please Hosta!!!  😉

  • Really pleased about the awol chook @Obelixx. Charlie and I love Owain too, but we missed the ice thing with all three of the Breakfast presenters. We've decided he dresses down on Fridays, no tie, but it could just be a coincidence.

    @Pat E that looks so sore.  :open_mouth:

    Right, lunch break over, back to it - oh, I've just spotted a tomato seedling up, so exciting. :)

    Morning all, that shiner's going to take some time to disappear @Pat E, hope you feel better soon.
    I wonder where the chook hid Obelixx? Good thing she's turned up though.
    It's just turned cloudy here after brilliant sunshine early when we were out. Thank goodness it's also warmer as well, up to 11.2c, so I've lifted all the cloches out of the borders and taken the tattered remains of the fleece off the wisteria. Some of the buds look distinctly sad so I hope we do get flowers later. Not sure it that was a good idea or not. I was surprised to see the big ceanothus next to the wisteria seems to have survived and has blossom on it. The soil is very dry though and we really need a lot of rain soon.
