@punkdoc that sounds like a wise decision. Hope it goes well x
  • @punkdoc .. in spite of only knowing you through your posts on the forum, I am sure you have made a well considered decision, good luck with the visit and hopefully the visit will give both you and your mother comfort.

@punkdoc   That's a nice idea.  I hope you spend some quality time with her and the weather is clement.

@punkdoc - that's quite a drive but I am sure it will be worth it for both you and your mum.  Hope all goes well.

    Good evening.

April Pink Supermoon tonight. I believe it won’t appear pink, but named was by native Americans after blossom and Spring flowers like Phlox subulata.

Take care folks. Safe trip Punk.

oo meant to say what a gorgeous Auricula Theatre chicky.

@punkdoc, hope all goes well tomorrow. The service stations on the motorways (at least the ones we've been in) have been fine for short visits and I'm sure it will all be okay.
We've been into Bath today on the bus and went to 2 banks and M & S for OH to buy a new lightweight waterproof jacket. We even treated ourselves to coffee & cake at an outside cafe - all absolutely fine with no worries. Worth it just to start feeling normal again. Glad you enjoyed lunch with your friend.
    @Dovefromabove, @DOrdogne_Damsel, @Busy-Lizzie, @Obelixx,
sounds like good jobs well done.
Yviestevie, hope you get sorted soon and that your wisteria survives. It might need a lot of watering this year to help it get established.
I've just ordered online a new linen dress in a rather bright coral colour, not my usual choice but I need something new for a late July wedding, involving a walk, a boat trip, party games and dancing at the venue. A bit of a style dilemma.  The dresses in M & S
were all very long a la Carrie Symonds style and as somebody not even 5ft tall now and somewhat older, there doesn't seem much choice. We shall see.
Quite excited this afternoon to see the very first yellow flower on my Peonia Ludlowii, which has a complicated 30 year history involving several housemoves and various custodians.
Have a good evening folks, hugs to all in need.

Said what the hedge men did, but not what I did, not that it's very interesting.

I've done ironing, not the duvet cover yet, and I've washed the little drawer cupboards in the tool room. They were 1st OH's dental cabinets a long time ago, before he had his surgery renewed. Made of painted metal and full of drawers for putting dental instruments in. Very good for screwdrivers, chisels, hammers etc.

I love those kind of cabinets @Busy-Lizzie, always wanted a printers one. We were very amused to see about a couple of years ago when Homebase got taken over by the Aussie DIY company. Suddenly there were rows of very posh, very large metal tool cabinets, (think £500 + ) . Presumably Aussie men had a real need!

Safe journey, punkdoc. Have found our local motorway service station very quiet compared with the old days, and even the supermarkets less busy than a few weeks ago. Looks like everyone is queueing outside Primark, so im sure you can break your journey feeling pretty safe. Will be thinking of you.
