Cold here and we've had some wet air that hasn't registered as rain. None of that before next Saturday. I'm off out to finish cleaning the terrace which is proving stubborn.
That looks like an impressive hosta-to-be @D0rdogne_Damsel but you'll need to make sure it has plenty of moisture to cope with your levels of sunlight. I have one called Gold Edger which was fine in full sun in Belgium but here it definitely needs shade. Haven't seen any of the larger leaved varieties on sale here.
We used to have a doggy thread for photos of our canine friends.
Hope your boiler goes in without any bovver @Dovefromabove and your tree lopping goes well @Busy-Lizzie.

Gorgeous well @D0rdogne_Damsel ......with a gorgeous hosta to match.
Thanks for all the lovely comments on my auricula theatre - I am very lucky to have an OH who like making things ....and makes a very good job of them 👍🏻.
Hope you enjoy Wisley @Allotment Boy .....wonder if you will be as sad as I was to lose that lovely model veg garden ☹️. I’ve just booked tickets to go again with friends in a couple of weeks. I can think of no better way to guarantee rain ☔️ 🤣. On that front, I have invited friends for coffee in the garden on Wednesday pm. Forecast now says rain for Weds pm .....so you can all thank me for putting an end to the drought 🙄. You’re very welcome 🙏🏻
Hello everyone! Cold down here today @Obelixx but we are having some useful rain to go with it so mustn't complain. Frustrating morning trying to order some plants on line with bank card, and all sites are refusing payment but card works in the shops. Card people think there is a technical error and will have to go into the bank maybe need a new card, it really doesn't make sense. Son is having a meeting with his work health insurance provider to see if he can now do more hours and actually go into work now a couple of days a week. I am still very fearful for him but know that he must do more if he is up to it, he has now had two jabs. Daughter's cat goes back to the vets tomorrow to see how fractured neck of femur is doing, she says he is much improved and hopes he can have his cone removed, he is rather grumpy! I hope all works are progressing satisfactorily @Busy-Lizzie and @Dovefromabove.
Leo is such a cutie @Nanny Beach! And his woofer wife looks lovely too. Empress Wu looks very impressive @Hostafan1. And what a difference that makes to that corner @D0rdogne_Damsel. Love the brick construction - is it for spit roasting? Looks very romantic in that corner. Soooo dry here in Suffolk and no rain in the forecast. Frosts for the next few nights. And cold today too so - no excuse not to crack on with the planning I have to do. I chair the local business association here and we run street markets 3 times a year. We normally have a Garden Market in May, with loads of local nurseries and growers lining our main shopping street. People flock from miles around to come to it. But we have taken a leaf out of Chelsea's book this year and postponed it to September. Need to get those application forms out to all our stallholders, and to publicise the open days they are having. (Note to self: do not need to attend all the open days personally. Other note to self: shut up - of course you do!). Hope the boiler fitting is going well @Dovefromabove. Moving operations to the dining room table is no fun - we had 6 months of that whilst our kitchen was being built!
Operations on the dining table, what is this M A S H!! Pergola held up by lack of wood, according to local builder's merchant due to forest fire 🔥 in USA
Afternoon all, @didyw rest assured we are not all early risers on this thread. I hate having to get up any earlier than 9 o clock and quite often stay in bed later
Have been a bit rough the last couple of days so haven't posted much. Hubby bought me a new wisteria depite me having promised not to kill any more. It's a different variety that only grows to 9ft and I am planting in a different spot where there is less competition so we'll see how it goes.
I've been potting on seedlings this morning and I've planted three of my tomato plants into a growbag with those halo things, hope they do OK. The greenhouse is getting really full now and I'm running out of windowledge space in the conservatory. Am I OK to put my peas out now or is it still too early. I have broad beans too that could do with going in the ground.
Had my results back from the blood tests and apparently I have high iron levels and need to have a futher GP appt. I've organised an over the phone appt for Friday 7th May. I must say when I googled the symptoms for high iron levels they fit me perfectly, so will just have to wait and see what the doc says.
Hope all your alterations are going OK folks. Our kitchen worktops are being replaced on 5th May and we are still waiting for a quote to replace the doors.
@Nanny Beach. Why don't you take the coffee break opportunity to learn how to 'crop' your photos? It is really easy once you know how. I will try and help, but am no expert myself. I know you are using a phone so this is how I do it.
1) Go to the photo you want to upload/share with us 2) From the menu options (Share/Edit/Delete) press Edit 3) From the next list press Crop 4) The photo should appear with 4 dots on each corner 5) Using your fingers touch a dot (or dots) and drag them in. For the purposes of getting them to upload the right way up on here you only have to drag a tiny bit. 6) If there are bits in the picture you don't want to see you just drag the dot (s) a bit further until you can only see what you want to see. 7) Press save 8) if you want to save the original and the cropped photo press Save as Copy
I hope that helps.

Well that was all very efficient ... boiler man and apprentice have left ... heating and hot water are operating ... all that has to happen now is the electrician will turn up in a little while and wire it in; for the time being it's plugged into a wall socket. Kitchen has been left neat and tidy ... OH is giving it a wipe down with sanitiser and I've washed the floor ... the engineer said he'd do it but we told him to go to his next job. He's freelance and paid by the job so we're happy to wash our own floor with our own mop, and OH doesn't trust anyone but himself to sanitise stuff. I've been sent back in here to let him do things 'his way'.

I will try DD, I a,m gtradually learning, "stuff", never used a smartphone till last month, the fingers touching dots, might prove tricky I have both arthritus and tendonitus. This photo was fine, I don't know why some say the are too big, BUT at least I am not the only one on here who cannot get them the correct way up. My daughter was laughing it me bashing the screen, I have had a Nokia for 10 years, shes been using a smartphone for 15 years, is a software expert and gamer, bit different, Oh, and shes not 70
@Yviestevie that sounds worrying. Hope you get good advice form the GP. Ask about diet - fruit, veg, grains etc.
I've been pressure washing the terrace, again. Bit more to do this pm as it's proving stubborn this year. Not nice in the wind despite wellies, jeans and a high necked top. Brrrr. Need to get it done soon as we have a new cantilever parasol due to be delivered and I want to get the table, chairs and pots back in place.
