I'm glad the chook turned up @Obelixx. Could she be broody and has started collecting eggs somewhere?
I haven't done anything much yet, watched Chris Packham about animal social behaviour on BBC 2 in bed this morning and have chatted to friends on the phone. The frost is all melted now.
Finished lunch break by 12.25 @D0rdogne_Damsel? I haven't started lunch yet at 1.15pm. I'm not very French I hate the way French shops shut at 12 when I've hardly got started. Glad SM Leclerc stays open. Now I'm near a small town I do my grocery shopping in the lunch break, hardly anyone there - except English people!
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Me too @Busy-Lizzie. I finished my weekly shop at 1pm today then home - 25 mins - unpacking and so on so lunch finished at 2pm. Coffee now and then off to the dentist.
I suspect choo, having escaped their pen which I closed at 6:30, couldn't find her way back in and bedded down somewhere she felt safe. We both searched with torches and couldn't find her anywhere so she was well hidden and not answering calls either. Seems OK today and not traumatised.
@D0rdogne_Damsel Definitely dress down Friday for Owain with no tie. He did his ice bucket on last night's news - 7:30 for us - whilst doing the weather forecast too with intermittent yelps of Ouch! and "This is so uncomfortable!" Understatement but he didn't lose his thread. Had Possum and me in hoots.

Glad the chook has returned home safe and sound @Obelixx
Bit confused about your reference to 'dress down Friday' ... isn't it Thursday today? It was when I got the milk in this morning ... they don't deliver on Fridays

Glad your girl turned up safe and sound @Obelixx. That's a real shiner @Pat E
I'm feeling a bit brighter today. I've been potting up seedlings and moving those I had already potted on into the greenhouse. I've set up the heater so it only comes on when the temperature drops to 5 degrees. Have room to sow more now that there is space on the conservatory window ledge. Hubby cleaned the oven this morning so a visit from the environmental health has been avoided. Not much else planned.
Would anyone be able to recommend some small plant supports that aren't expensive? I have got some alliums out in the front garden that are coming on leaps and bounds but need to support their foliage as they are covering other things that are trying to come through and blocking their light. Has anyone got any suggestions of suppliers or websites - or something I can make at home? I'm not very creative but willing to give things a go!!
Bit sunnier here today but still not brilliant. In for a rainy weekend so any seed growing will be in the conservatory... Think it may be time to try the first sowing of my cucamelons. First time growing them so want to give enough time for a second sowing if needed!!!
@Dovefromabove we watch the BBC North West news after getting utterly fed up with London news which is really up itself. There we found the utterly gorgeous Owain who is just delicious and does the weather and is now doing just a bit more. Give it a try.

@Pat E - that's a real corker! Hope the cut is beginning to heal. I'm just whiling a bit of time wrapped in towels after my shower. Put in a good 3-hour shift in the garden today. But everything is overlaid with a bit of a worry about my brother in law who lives in New Jersey. He contracted covid with symptoms first appearing on the day of his jab, which is rotten luck. He's been in hospital for the past 3 days and it seems his lungs are clear, so that's something. Desperately hoping he makes a full recovery but I wonder if that negates the jab? So many unknowns!
