I think there are a few millitary uniforms spare at the moment Punkdoc you could borrow!
  • Well I can confirm that my parents came back with some much needed plant supports for the front garden!! I have put them in to see how they settle down (on a tea break from work obviously!) and then if they need moving/tweaking I can change them. The  allium leaves are so soft I want to handle them as little as possible but need them supported and my rudbekia given some sunshine!!! :)

@D0rdogne_Damsel   Most people did their "move" during Easter Weekend - dropping the kids off at granny's for the lockdown month etc. etc.  My neighbour went to Paris with a waiver certificate from a friend of a friend's friend.... for 5 days.  He wasn't checked.  He's gloating.

  • Good afternoon all. Spent the morning helping my sister painting her rabbit shed. Yes you heard that right, a rabbit shed! She has 11 right currently and plans on getting more.  :D I think i’m gonna sow some lupins when i arrive home, one of my favourite flowers.

I hope everyone enjoys the rest of the day and are keeping well.

Another very cold start today with a "feels like" -6C and there's a strong easterly breeze that gets in all the nether regions.  OH was up early to take delivery of my IKEA shelving for the polytunnel.  It would have been embarrassing for me to go @D0rdogne_Damsel as we don't do PJs.

Proper clothes and mascara today for the weekly shop which has been done peacefully.  Not sure I want to get dirty this pm and certainly not planting or weeding weather as it's so cold and dry but the sun is out so I shall find something to do outside for a while.

We have some 2nd homes round here.  Only the Parisians have broken the rules and installed themselves for the Easter hols.   Elsewhere in the Vendée there are big spikes of infection following the descent of the hordes/Parisians for the half term break.  They don't seem to understand social distancing so resort areas have more cases than the health service can manage which meads to be people being shipped round the country for intensive care.  Clever.

Loads of classroom closures in secondary schools here too before the Easter hols and new lockdown and my 1st vaccine will be too late for me to feel comfortable doing the school British cooking day on the 11th of May.

Lay off the foody treats a bit @punkdoc and maybe try suits online?  or ask for a fitting appointment in a store you know?

Forgot to mention the Sewing Bee.  Really enjoyed it.   I made loads of shell tops to wear under trouser and skirt suit jackets for the office tho mostly with short sleeves but plenty for casual wear too.  Still make them now.

The transformation section is still a puzzle to me but this one did provide some lively hilarity and giggles.

I will never - I hope - wear a buffet dress.  Hideous idea tho one or two turned out OK.

    Afternoon all.
Back from the coal face. Nice gentle start back. I only had 5 deliveries and they allocated me the automatic van.
Dead hedgehog on the road outside our drive this morning. :'(

What's a buffet dress,I always wear s bit of make up to go shopping apart from the quick nip for papers, some kind of jeans or trousers,my "posh" Debenhams riding style boots. They used to say to me at work why did I dress up to go shopping,I don't,but wouldn't go in a holey t shirt, out of shape  cotton leggings (, remember them!)or with food down my clothes,be like going to Tesco in my pj s,

    Afternoon.

Well bus-man’s holiday springs to mind... two trips to the local hospital in 24 hours on my days off. MIL now home and recovering well, Dad had his appointment for plaster change (it’s a complex one with a support boot attached so takes ages).
I’ve done a bit in the garden and coming in to catch up on news and Trial coverage etc. I have some rhubarb (not home grown) so will be treating us to a crumble tonight. I am expecting a “a don’t like rhubarb” comment from OH followed by a “is there any left for seconds” comment a while later 😉 I will report back!

I hope you are all doing ok.

My garden and I live in South Wales.
