Auntyrach, sounds a bit like me, although I am retired from the paid nursy job

Having gone overboard with the chocolate treats, biscuits and baking during the various lockdowns, I must say the idea of a buffet dress is rather appealing.  I never like the transformation bit as whatever they come up with looks awful.  I suppose living in France as you do @Obelixx you naturally look chic.  Haven't worn makeup for years as I have watery eyes so it's off in no time. I do put on a bra when I go out though. I'm not a complete savage.

One of the plus sides of wearing a mask, is rarely having to worry about shaving. Nobody can see how rough I look underneath

Hope this is good news for our Marmite-loving ex-pat Forker friends

I was so thrilled I had somewhere to go yesterday (aka GP's surgery), I put eye makeup and jewellry on and changed my top three times before I was happy with my appearance. Felt really strange to get a bit dressed up and go somewhere. Next trip, the hairdresser next week.
That was a bit unfortunate @AuntyRach, but pleased both your relatives are doing well.
I've had to water everything in pots and newly planted roses today. Also had a bit of a tidy up of the courtyard, it gets very messy with constant debris dropping off the big birch tree and blackbirds kicking moss off the roof.

The only time I’ve been getting dressed up this past year is to go to the supermarket. I’m sure the workers in my local aldi must think I treat it like a catwalk but that’s the only
place i’ve been going  :D When i’m at home it’s just been PJs so it’s quite nice to make yourself look decent when you venture out.

Took another trip to the GC today because I realised I had forgotten to buy my Grandfather a birthday present. So i bought him a lovely wooden box planter with “Grandad” on the front. Off to visit him tomorrow for a little buffet lunch in the garden.
