Glad you enjoyed your volunteer day,@Allotment Boy, it's good to get out and about again isn't it. I had a first as well - the first proper haircut this year, I'm so pleased, I feel quite light-headed - literally! Glad to hear your mum likes her new home @Punkdoc and hope that you found a new suit to your liking. Bath wasn't as busy as I expected but I avoided the main shopping area. You're all so busy buying new plants, great stuff. It's good to have some treats.
I found a few scented pelargoniums to go on the patio. I like to have scented plants and herbs in pots there. Also picked up some cat mint/Nepeta ‘Cats Pyjamas’, and a lovely Nemesia ‘Wisley Vanilla’.
I hope everyone is doing ok. I hope your Mum is comfy and cosy @punkdoc.
Well I've done my computer work. Why won't things be as straightforward as they should be? I have Outlook and opened that up to find a vital email. Couldn't see it. So decided to look at Outlook.com - which has a completely different layout. Couldn't remember my password so had to change that. Found the email, downloaded the pics - but all too big to include on the website. Attempts to reduce the size took ages and still didn't work. Had to get different pics. And now it's too late/cold to do anything outside except bring the babies in. (Oh and pat on the back to me for not buying bedding from Suttons who sent me (another) email, despite my looking and quite fancying some things...
You’ve a stronger will than me today @didyw ... not only was I seduced by Dahlia Waltzing Matilda, I’ve ordered some ‘Patio Snacker’ cucumber seeds for the terrace, despite my firm resolution not to 😂
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Feeling positive (ish), definite government rumblings about getting restaurants open soon, nothing decided, but much more positive than previously heard.
Also, I have a floor. 😁 Before and after picture to follow.
@punkdoc, difficult time for you, I'm thinking of you. Circle of life comes to mind (Lion King film hankies at the ready). Births, deaths, marriages, ends and beginnings, time to take stock and be thankful for what we have, what we have experienced and enjoyed, but very difficult not to be sad. A peaceful, calm end is the best we can hope for, knowing also that we've been loved and appreciated. I hope your nephew is able to enjoy his day to come and the marriage is all he could wish for.
@takhana, 3rd July - hat, glass of sparkly, I'll be there, hopefully frying sausages at the same time....😅
As promised, pics; 4 years ago, on an absolute shoestring I opened CdeG, now finally the (very) dodgy walls and decor have come down and I'm able to make my mark.... With everything crossed, I do hope we're able to welcome guests back in soon and wow them with our achievements.
Difficult to make out on the photo, but the feature wall is a montage of books on bookshelves.
I have several local artists lined up with some super pictures ready to hang and (hopefully sell) on the picture rails.
Nearly there.....

It is looking great @D0rdogne_Damsel, well done. I'm now even further away than I was before so can't just pop in when you open.
I went to the GC this morning and bought plants.
This afternoon I have planted 6 tomatoes, Supersteak, Tresor, Rose de Bearn x 2 and Sweet x 2. Also a round courgette and a pale green courgette and 4 cucumbers. I planted French Marigolds between the tomatoes and 12 Ageratum in the 2 beds in front of the veg garden. Then I filled a largish pot with compost and planted Basil in it and put it near the kitchen door. There are already 2 pots with parsley and chives just outside the kitchen door.
The weather forecast is warm with mild nights for the next 2 weeks.
I also bought 3 calibrachoa and a honeysuckle Belgica which I'll plant tomorrow, need to prepare a place for the honeysuckle, it's going on a fence near the washing line.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
We must try and get a meeting organised @Busy-Lizzie, even if it halfway between the two of us, as soon as we are allowed of course. I do admire your enthusiasm for gardening and your knowledge, I have certainly got the enthusiasm, knowledge is a long, hard learned skill, I am still very much on the learning curve. Most definitely something to get me out of bed in the morning though. (early too).
