    Coffee has arrived @Pat E ☕️ 👍

  • Morning @Dovefromabove and @Pat E, I'm later than normal today, definitely need that coffee, I think these bike rides have tired me out, or the longer days in the garden.

    Morning @D0rdogne_Damsel 😊
OH has just whizzed down to the village for apples and a few things we need before the Sunday Sainsbury delivery ...

Good morning to the early birds @Dovefromabove and @D0rdogne_Damsel et al.

Looks like the French contingent are in for an indoorish weekend - we desperately need some rain down here - the earth is like concrete!  Maybe Sunday.  Temperatures still low for this time of year.   @Obelixx @Busy-Lizzie and @floralies  Keep safe!  Vitners and orchardists have been lighting fires or watering their fields to keep the severe frosts at bay.  Many have lost their crops -  cherries and apricots will come at a price this year!

Despite the cold snap, enjoy your day.

  • We are desperate for rain here too @tuikowhai34, and despite my best efforts with the frost my (many) hydrangeas are all looking very sad, they had such an early growth spurt with all the warm weather and they're like burnt crisps now. The forecast rain here moves forward everyday, it is saying Sunday now. I wonder if the hydrangeas will start again?

    Morning all.
Keep safe too @tuikowhai34. My apple blossom that was looking so pretty has frosted but there are new unfrosted buds waiting to come out. But it seems that most years the farmers and wine producers are in the papers saying that they've lost their crops and lighting fires in the vineyards. There always seems to be wine in the end. My vine hasn't even produced any leaves yet, let alone blossom, too early.

    Cloudy outside, drizzle forecast.

@D0rdogne_Damsel  and @Busy-Lizzie  I hope the hydrangeas take off again.  So classy!  I have trouble growing them but there are many pink ones growing in peoples' gardens here - I love the blue ones, but we don't have the acidic soil although I have tried with various "additives".  They can never get through winter in my garden!
Yes, there is always wine in the end!!  I have about 7 eating grape plants - all of which are at open bud stage - they all got a sulphur powder dusting on Sunday morning - as did the roses.

    Cloudy and grey here too.

    Morning 😀😀😀

Great day of volunteer gardening yesterday - really good to get stuck in with such a lovely bunch of people.  Renovated a herb bed and topped up borders with cuttings that had been overwintering in the glass houses.  Lots of visitors- all looking very happy to be out in the sunshine ☀️

Lots of teeny tiny plug plants arrived yesterday, so will need to get them all into modules today.  Destined to be sold at the gardening club plant sales once they have filled out a bit.  Currently the size of my little fingernail.

Good to hear you’re enjoying your new bike @D0rdogne_Damsel - one of my favourite ways to exercise.  You still see, hear and smell what’s going on around you, but your horizons can be wider than when you’re on your own two feet.

We’ve got rain forecast tomorrow - its certainly needed 💦

Only 3 more days til I get my hair cut 💇🏼‍♀️......what a relief that will be, to finally let it out of its lockdown ponytail ✂️✂️✂️
