Morning folks,l went and saw my grandkids other granny yesterday, did a plant swap, had posh coffee, sitting in her gorgeous garden. It was 17c. I came back used her as a sounding board for the neighbour "stuff". I made carrot cake (her favourite,) When I got back here, fairly relaxed (apart from the numpties on the A22 who can't bare to do 30 MPH in that zone) I went and sat down in the veg plot (no,I do have a bench there!) and read my book for a while

The phone experiences made me laugh. Last week, we heard our first ice cream van of the year, there is a very enterprising guy who drives round our village a few days every summer. We always wonder if he makes any money here as there aren’t that many children and the houses are very spread out.
The following day, we were out for a walk when we heard him again. After several minutes, realised that it was my phone. No one ever rings me, and I had no idea what it sounded like!

Morning!  Splash of rain again during the night.  Can drive in some posts to start setting up  tomatoes.

These phones come with the most minimal instructions, even the Nokia didn't say how to turn on. My daughter (the one who is a software expert), says they expect you to know these things
  • Good morning all,

Lovely gentle rain here, hopefully off and on all day according to the forecast. :)

My phone always manages to get to the very bottom of my handbag and by the time I find it the answerphone has often kicked in.

A birthday cake to ice this morning and the family are coming to collect it and have 5 Burgers to takeaway too, the birthday boy is 17, as happy as I am to see rain, I am afraid it will spoil their picnic plans. :(
Tomorrow I have all the prep to do for the Indian Takeaway Night, hoping to have about 20 to do, the French always leave reservations until the last minute so I never know, I have 17 booked so far....we'll see. Eating any leftovers will be no hardship.

Have a good day all. :)

I once had a client who was on the Board of Nokia and I told him the manual with the phone ( when you used to get paper copies ) ran to 147 pages and nowhere did it tell you how to adjust the volume.
    He was a bit embarassed.

Good morning all. Good to know I'm not the only one with phone difficulties.

We've had rain! Purely because I got the hosepipe out yesterday of course. I hope we get a lot more but not until I get back from the GC. Going to a big one for an outing with a friend today. I need to paint my little blue shed so hoping they will have the right colour.

Hope Punkdoc's day went as well as could be expected.

A bit apprehensive today, we're due to switch broadband providers tomorrow so fingers crossed it will all go okay. If I disappear you'll know why.

Right, I'm on breakfast duty this morning so better get a move on
Have a good day everyone, catch up later.

Morning everyone, we had a few spots of rain, but they didn't even join up.  I have a bit of a wildlife dilemma,  we put dry mealworms out for the birds in 3  spots, but a flock of starlings has discovered them. The problem is they just rampage everywhere,  and drive all the other birds away.  I am considering stopping for a few days to see if they move on.  What would others do.
