Can't hold it in.... pinging with excitement!.... I have a whole day off on my own in the house! First for about a year!!! Only 2 days of this last year was at Christmas and that was spent cooking. Tomorrow's weather looks lovely!! I'll probably be in the garden, did my paperwork this afternoon... please!!!!! Let nothing ruin it!!!
@WonkyWomble, so sorry to hear the news of your step son's loss. And of course, well done for doing the right thing, so difficult for everyone involved, but certainly made easier by your kindness and understanding. Enjoy your well earned day off too.
My recipe is nothing special, it's just a nice dip that I have on blinis or with carrots and cucumber and even curly lettuce, very tasty but messy to eat, which makes it even tastier. I usually make a big batch of red pepper and sweet potato soup at the beginning of the week and I roast the peppers for this at the same time. I found the Sriracha sauce on the foreign aisle in Intermarche, but I suppose in he UK it will be readily available. Be warned, it's spicy, you don't need a lot. One good thing about dieting is that I have found some interesting recipes. Anyway, this is the link: https://thewholeserving.com/red-lentil-roasted-red-pepper-spread/
@Nanny Beach, I hope you can resolve your problem with your friend, horrible when these things become awkward. WW's idea of a Companion card sounds helpful, but perhaps too late now. Good luck anyway.
So glad that the weather has been better today, so nice to feel the warm sun on your face. I am still pricking out seedlings, it's a very slow process, but I broke it up by doing a bit of weeding on my new bed. I had been waiting for the gladioli I planted to come up, I didn't want to damage them before they even started, amazing how fast all the little weedlings appear, but all clear now, for a short time anyway.
@Hostafan1, that fingers not normal, in so many ways....was it ever?
On that note, goodnight all. And probably nearly time to say good morning to @Pat E.

Well done @WonkyWomble. I think I may call you WonkyWeeble instead now. Just can't knock you down. I hope your boys find your resilience helps them to bounce back as well.
Enjoy your day tomorrow

Bless you @WonkyWomble and your family. So sorry to hear about the loss but i’m glad that your stepson has someone like you to look out for him. Sending you hugs and my thoughts are with you.
So I had an eventful day, fell down the stairs because of my slippers, all the way from the top right to the bottom. I felt fine when I first got up and walked around but after sitting down for a while I got up and I think i’ve sprained my ankle! It’s a shame because I was planning on visiting a lovelt garden centre tomorrow too
Poor Livmarie! Do you have any stretchy bandage to strap your ankle up with? Bag of frozen peas to cool it with, and a pillow to raise it up on? Paracetamol will help, but I’ve read recently that ibuprofen is not recommended for a couple of days after an injury. Ankles can be a real bore, I’ve twisted mine numerous times over the years. Hopefully if you take some immediate action, you might speed up the healing. So sorry if you end up missing your day out. Have you got any walking boots or similar that you can lace up tightly to reduce any swelling and provide extra support?
Yet another frost last night (forecast said we would be spared ❄️). Had to move the hardy stuff out of the cold frames yesterday to make room for other things .....good job I fleeced it all so the first night out wasn’t too much of a shock.
Back to school for me today -best get a wiggle on. Happy Tuesday peeps
Good morning @chicky if you're still around. I've been awake since 5.45. Too much " stuff " going on in my head to get back to sleep. Enjoy your much deserved time in your garden @WonkyWomble.
