@Hostafan1 good luck with the PIP, filled in quite a few myself and it’s always very difficult. I find they make it as hard as possible both mentally and psychically so you don’t bother at all.
    That's exactly what I've heard

  • @Hostafan1 I always find the face to face assessment the hardest. Fingers crossed you get someone that is understanding of your difficulties.

@oliviataylor100, you have my sympathy ... @WonkyWomble suffered from ME/post viral fatigue after contracting glandular fever when she was 11.  It lasted well into her twenties, but she's a tough cookie and although it bu$$ered her education at the time, she did a degree in her early 30s, tried a few career avenues but eventually decided to do what makes her happiest, and now she's a full time gardener with an ever-increasing list of happy customers.   So best of luck to you ... age is just a number ... my partner is much younger than I am so there's no way I'm ever going to feel my real age, even if I tweak my back from time to time ... I've been doing that ever since I was a teenager anyway.

  • That’s exactly what happened to me too @Dovefromabove I had glandular fever back in 2017 and I feel like i have never recovered. I am optimistic that as the years go on I will start to feel better though but I just have to put up with it in the meantime! And exactly, all my friends in their 20s have bad backs anyway so you’re not alone 😂
  • Well i changed my username a good few days ago but it looks like it’s only just updated! Very strange, but i prefer to be called Liv over Olivia anyway.

I found Marmite! Leclerc had some so I bought 4 pots for my son and left 4 for someone else. Intermarché had a lot last week so I decided to buy my share there but there was only one pot left! If, hopefully when, I get to the UK in time for OH's hip operation in July I can bring some back eventually.

Great news @Busy-Lizzie :D  Little triumphs mean a lot at times like this.

Hi @LivMarie98 and welcome to you in your new incarnation  :D  When @WonkyWomble first had it, no one knew what it was ... eventually our GP put two and two together and realised it was what the newspapers called back then 'Yuppie flu' Grrr!   There was no real idea how to treat it ... antidepressants were tried and they just made things worse ... in the end just rest, a good well-rounded diet, sunshine and positive stuff helped her to get there in the end, but it did mean she lost a huge amount of school time.  She's got her hands full at the moment but does pop on here from time to time so maybe she'll see this and add her tuppence worth if she has a moment.

Good night everyone. I’ve enjoyed all your chats. Best wishes to those who need them. My stitches are coming out tomorrow, all being well. I’ll be glad when my head feels normal again.
