Good evening everyone, thank you for the birthday wishes 😊 it's been a lovely day, sunny and peaceful. Roast lamb was amazingly fabulous!!!! I hope everyone has had a lovely Easter weekend. 🐣
2 pm, we had just enjoyed a plate of yoghurt with some sliced apples that I’d sliced and put in the microwave for a minute. Very nice. And Hubby was starting to relax in his lounge chair and I was playing a puzzle on my iPad. The phone rang. Fire brigade duties again. There has been a car accident up the road and they always need a fire truck to attend in case of fuel spillage and/or fire. Sigh. I shouldn’t whinge, but the timing never seems right. At least it’s not a bush fire that takes hours or days to sort out.
He’s home at 3.45. Wrecked car on the side of the road, but no sign of anyone around. He said there are still personal possessions in the car but they don’t feel they can remove them, so hopefully someone who knows who owns will do a clean up safely for them.
Ive sliced another couple of apples and cooked them in the microwave for later. These apples were growing on the side of the road when we were driving back from Adaminiby a couple of weeks ago, so we thought they’d be better with us than scavenged by birds. 🙄 They are quite sweet.
Good morning all 😊 ☕️ its been snowing here for at least an hour ... the wind’s coming directly from the north which is unusual here ... it woke me in the night roaring around the house. Brrr! 🥶

No snow here but we've had frost. I'm parked on a sofa with the sun streaming in thru the window and I still need a fleece throw to feel warm. It will be even colder tonight and tomorrow night but I shall see if I can get some shrubs planted out in the newly cleared area where OH finally managed a good bonfire on Saturday night - at dusk when it was cold and windless and everyone's windows and shutters were closed.
We thought we had apple trees in our mixed hedge along the boundary with the farm but never any fruit @Pat E so I shall have to research good varieties and plant some next autumn.
Off to get my second coffee and then play in the Cave - cementing to make a level base for the shelving units. It'll need a day to go off so best get on and then I can play outside.
Keep warm everyone.
