. .Evening all, whoops DD, not what you need at the moment, glad your NDN was okay though.
We've had a busy day, left earlyish to meet up with son and his family at Shearwater (part of the Longleat estate in Wiltshire) for a lunch picnic only to find all the car park and entrance gates locked when we got there! Covid restrictions, the notice said - bah! Huge lake, acres and acres of land in which to spread out in. I realize they need to make up their income but nearly £100 for a family of four? Numbers were therefore limited for Longleat plus Safari Park ,proper to those who could afford to pay. Anyway, back to Plan B, which was the nearby GC which fortunately for us also had picnic benches overlooking a small lake and away from the crowds. The fact that it was absolutely perishing did not detract from the joy of seeing our two grandchildren and a good time was had by all. Christmas and Easter presies were exchanged and to warm up we wandered round the GC and bought a few things. Came home via the longer scenic route to please my daughter and collapsed with tea and Hot Cross Buns.
Just been out in the dark and fleeced the front wisteria which is full of fat buds and my favourite clematis. I'm hoping any frost tonight won't be too severe.
Morning all, Happy Easter, I hope the Easter Bunny has been.
Lovely morning here and the wind has calmed down, thankfully, but it's definitely on the cool side, 3 degrees at the moment, but should reach 17 later. Still no rain, which we really could do with now, especially my poor new plants. I am keeping an eye on the night temperatures because I am pretty sure we're going to get a frost with all these clear skies sometime this week. Fleece at the ready.
Some more Easter Picnics to do today and Hot Cross buns to be collected, but last one at noon, so afternoon in the garden for me. I am doing Beef in Guinness Pie for dinner so am cooking it slowly all day, will just pop some pastry on at the end, I do like to come in from working in the garden and have the dinner virtually ready to eat.
I might just have another coffee before I start though, it is Sunday after all.
Have a good day all.

Same weather as @D0rdogne_Damsel Definitely a few degrees less and a chilly breeze so far. Yes, we could do with some rain too. Sooo dry!
I do hope you are able to see your families today and that the weather is clement.
