Can’t help thinking there is a great business opportunity here for someone who is prepared to fill in the paperwork ......marmite, brown sauce, PG Tips tea bags ........might not be worth the effort for LeClerc, but someone else should be able to fill the gap.

Snow settled here too - at least it might deliver a bit of moisture to the soil.  Waiting patiently for this cold snap to end.  Its less of a snap, and more of an age 😳

Getting my hair cut today ......very excited 😜.  Will also take my cross stitch to the framers.  Returning my Dad’s wrongly sized M&S christmas gifts will have to wait til later in the week - I think there might be a bit of a queue in the returns aisle 🤣

The sun is out, the frost has disappeared ... this week I will be sowing runner beans, sunflowers and salad stuff and lots of others, and planting the potatoes ... but today I need to move a bit of dust around, mop the floors and put the bread  into the oven, ; I'll also make a chicken and mushroom pie for supper and then put what's left of yesterday's roast chicken into the stock pot to make chicken and leek soup for lunches later in the week ... and I have some work to do in the studio tomorrow so I'll have to organise the toms, squashes etc who are all enjoying the sunshine in there ,so I can actually do some painting 😂

Hope the return to work goes OK @Hostafan1 ... OH went back last week to prep the shop for the arrival of the hordes ... however he has this week off now until Saturday ... and he has holiday that must be used up before July so he'll still have plenty of painting time.  One of the few silver linings of lockdown has been the amount of time he's spent in the studio  B)

Sorry to hear about the Marmite ... friends in Cyprus are reporting similar disasters.

I nearly forgot 60 years ago today Uri Gagarin landed back on earth.  Apparently he landed in a potao field much to the alarm of the locals.

Ouch!  I’ve tweaked something in my back and my sciatic nerve is objecting ... OH had to put the bread in the oven and will have to get it out again ... he’s rubbed Deep Heat into it ... my back, not the bread. Thank goodness I can make pastry in the processor... moving dust around will have to wait ... 😣

We had visitors this morning. They have been keeping company together for a few weeks now which is a bit odd as mating season is months away yet. He looks like he is sporting a ruff as his winter coat drops off.

  • Good afternoon all! I hope the weather is good where you all are so you can get out and about in the garden today, looking at the weather charts we can hopefully see the last of the frost this week!

@Dovefromabove Bless you, sciatica is horrible isn’t it. Have you got any ibuprofen gel? That seems to help me.

@Nanny Beach Quite far off 100 actually, i’m a spring chicken. I have 80 years before i meet that milestone yet!
