You're welcome @Allotment Boy and I hope you manage your repair successfully.Β  If you read my original thread you will see I was concerned about the effect of epoxy in aquatic environments so the Waterweld was a find.Β  Maybe overcautious but didn't want any 'guilt trips' if there was any contamination.

Deffo time for a rant, you all know about said neighbor, asked me about planting something out now, then started removing the urine misogyny comments,I lost it,stormed indoors said rude words,no idea if he heard me, couple of years ago he took the same out of me, because I was wearing splints on both hands, hubby says it's only banter, but it hurts

He sounds like an idiot with no social skills or manners.Β  Take no notice ... there's no point in taking notice of rubbish. Rise above it. πŸ‘

That's kind of what the old man said, but he was laughing with him,I've poked up with him for 10 years, used to be able to keep out of the way but now he's retired

We all have a breaking point,I was nearly crying when he was taking the Mick out of my splints, perhaps I should have burst into tears in front of him he might have got the message

He might have got the message ... but on the other hand he might have got a kick out of it.Β  I would just ignore him and walk indoors if he starts again.Β  Tell him you have better things to do than to listen to insults.Β Β

Some folks call it banter ... it's often more like bullying.Β

My poor lizard. She was enjoying her nice quiet retirement years but now she's got a 3 year old shouting "Wake up, Ziggy, it's Christmas Day!" at her tank first thing in the morning.

A bit of a depressing post but I visited a house over the weekend to give the owner some advice on building a garage. He bought the house recently at a very cheap price as it had been empty for a few years and needed a complete refit. The previous owner had passed away and hadn't been maintaining the place. The garden was a mess of rubble and weeds but I checked the Google street view photos for some details and this is the photo taken in 2011. The detail isn't the best but it was clearly a much loved garden not too long ago.

Gardens generally don't survive the gardener, sadlyΒ  :( Garden for yourself and not for posterity

It seems that our recently pollarded ash is now the favourite perch of our local sparrow hawk whilst choosing breakfast.Β

    Yesterday’s breakfast was a wood pigeon; today’s was a blackbird.Β

Oh well ... sparrowhawks have got to eat too 😊
