Yes contact him by Recorded Delivery and send a copy of your letter to the local press, radio and tv stations and the Secretary of State for Work & Pensions Therese Coffey ... sheβs very ambitious and wonβt want (any more) bad publicity. Β

Hopefully he can do it next week, doesn't the mind boggle though, I'm having this conversation which I think is a bit out there, then she says well I can't access other benefit departments because I'm working from home ποΈ
I had a conversation with DWP this week about husband.Β " what's his NI number?" "I have no idea I'm afraid"Β " Can you ask him?" " He doesn't know what day of the week it is. Do you expect him to remember his NI number?"Β Silence.
And it's got the benefit of paying it less by "losing" records. A new claim dated from when first contacted them which will take about two weeks before he gets any money. I've played the benefit rollercoaster and basically wrote off the first two weeks I was owed that they said I wasn't entitled to. BS because a mate worked in the jobcentre and told me the entitlement I had. Luckily I was back in work after a month and got my first payment for two weeks after I had started work again.
Even before working from home it was a mess of a system. Good luck you'll need it!
