Good morning Chive, Debs, Hazel and Ruby. Sorry to hear, Debs, that your Fiancé has had a bad reaction. My Bestie did too but, as you say, better than the alternative.
Chive, I can imagine all those excited small people meeting up again after such a long time and the undoubted pleasure of all you staff feeling that joy. Hazel, I think you are right! Those leaves definitely look like tulips to me too.

I have to say that the bulbs sound more like tulips than alliums Hazel. If it stops raining I'll go and see if my alliums are through yet.

Hazel ,I have tulips coming up in the garden .They look the same as the ones in your pot.
Hazel , here is a pic of the the plant present I received . They are looking gorgeous .oh flip sideways again .
  • PR leek and potato soup will be very welcome especially with buttery rolls.  Hazel I slept and feel so much better for it.  I was feeling quite the zombie.  Debs hope fiancé will be feeling better in a couple of days.  I had a few days after the vaccine where I was taking paracetamol and shivery.  Chive good luck today with the young ones.  I hope all goes well.  LB I love alliums some of my favourites.  I hope you’re having a good day.

    Afternoon everyone.
Had a busy day yesterday and this morning. Hope you're all well.
@PurpleRose I made a huge batch of leek and potatoe soup last week. It's my favourite too. Although OH does a delicious chicken soup too.
@debs64 so sorry to hear your OH is feeling poorly after his vaccine. I had that one and had a horrible reaction too it. Do hope he feels better soon and isn't too bad with it.
@Songbird-1 your plants look like tulips to me.
@Rubee your Lily plant is so very pretty.
@Chivetalking hope you've had a good day at school with the little ones.
Time for a cup of tea.......and maybe a biscuit or two 😉

It finally stopped raining so I went out to look in the bed where my alliums are Hazel and they are not through yet. The buds on my camellia are just starting to burst and show their pink colour and more and more daffodils are opening up.
p.s. Hazel, grape hyacinth foliage can start off just looking like bright green grass.

Well Hazel, there is always a silver lining and those tulips look lovely and healthy so you should get a beautiful show when they finally flower.

SGL I love homemade soup. Had the last of my batch today for my lunch.

Chive, I hope that your children behave for you. I am sure that they will be happy to be back to school as normal and back into a routine. My son had his covid test this morning and I got the result this afternoon. He was so p,eased at the result, so he can return tomorrow.

We have had rain showers all day. It has been that weather that the ground is always wet but between the showers we have had a bit of son. At least the garden will like it as we have had no rain for weeks.
