Good Morning LB, PurpleRose & Rubee and all to follow,
LB I hope you get your glasses ok and SM done, I found the Fel*x cat food was in short supply this week just managed to get a box but I don’t think Nel will be open to change if it all disappears 😾
Hazel Don’t be hard on yourself, better to make something that you can work on when it suits you you’ll enjoy it all the more then. Confession time I’ve recently eaten chocolate & crisps we can commiserate together 😔🤗
PR Nearly the weekend hope your day goes well,
Rubee I hope everything was ok in the garden after yesterday’s weather,
My OH has been invited for his 1st vaccine next week, he’s 53 so that’s good news.
    Have a good Friday everyone.

Morning everyone,  its absolutely pouring down here this morning. But at least it's not windy. I'm hoping it will stop soon as I need to go down to the village shops to get some milk, a loaf of bread and some fresh fruit. Then I can cancel tomorrows food delivery. We really must eat the food in the cupboards and freezer.
@Songbird-1  I don't blame you, I'd have done the same. It's a very pretty pattern, but think I'd be like you and would rather knit something easy. Plus you were worried about the amount of wool, It would so sad if you'd got almost to the end and run out 😩
@Chivetalking great news about your OH vaccine.
    Take care everyone SYL

Morning all. I may get out in the garden today but it looks grey and the wind is gusty so, then again, I might not. Maybe I'll just go and prune the last 2 roses and pollard the sambucus - quick, specific tasks rather than random pottering.

Hazel - wise decision to unpick that knitting. It's supposed to be for fun. Really don't understand people who waste time doing unecessary stuff they're not enjoying.

My friend forces herself to finish any book she starts - even ones she finds boring, incomprehensible or just downright stupid. She belongs to 2 book clubs and they seem to work their way through the Booker and other literary lists. They read a lot of navel gazing stuff. She thinks I'm awful for disgarding books I can't get into by chapter 3!

Good news on the jab front Chive - we seem to be well ahead with the schedule. Don't know anyone who's had the second dose yet but they'll start to filter through soon.

LB - hope the new specs are ok. Sometimes take a few days to get used to them.

Just wanted to say a big Thank You to @Songbird-1 and @Ladybird4 for both recommending the letterbox flower delivery people. Flowers were delivered to MIL yesterday and she said they were beautifully and carefully packaged with excellent care and arrangement instructions. She seemed very pleased with them. Still in bud but they still looked good and they'll be at their best for Mothering Sunday.😊

Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
  • Hazel your knitting looks lovely but intricate.  Do what you enjoy.  :)  LB and Lily it’s very wet and windy out.   Best to stay in if you can.  My confession I haven’t ironed as yet, maybe this afternoon.  LB I hope you’re pleased with your specs.   Topbird I don’t know anyone whose had the second vaccine either.  Have a good day.

Morning all. Showery this morning but I don’t mind as I’m on nanna  duty. Gabriel is being extra cute.  His word of the day is ploblem and he’s managing to fit it into all our conversations. Hopefully the raised bed will be here tomorrow and I can start to get the garden looking good again. Have a good day everyone.

    Good morning all.
Hazel I admire anyone who can knit at all but best to stop if you are not enjoying it, we have to do lots of stuff we don’t like anyway don’t we so why do any extra?
Top bird so pleased your MIL loved the flowers, my friend and aunt were delighted with theirs. I plan to send more bunches soon, my sister and I were talking about regrets yesterday, things we wish we had done for those we love when we had the chance. My resolution is to do the kind thing not just think about doing it.
Just been in garden sowing next batch of seeds trying to limit myself as I have so little space now but it’s very difficult.
LB I ordered some of those boulevard clematis yesterday very excited to see them but of course being me I ordered one too many so now I need another obelisk! No wonder I never have any money!
Off to work in a bit, hope you all have a good Friday

Hello all later arrivals. Back home after a successful specs pick up and a shop at 'sco. It was quite busy in the SM and of course I was much later than I normally go so obviously I will continue early morning shops in future. Everyone was well behaved though so it was a pleasant experience.
Great news about your OH and his first vaccine Chive, I do hope he doesn't get any nasty reactions.
T'Bird, I'm with you, if I haven't been gripped by a book within the first few pages it gets put to one side. I take it the MOT was a doddle? (Ante - means no problems). I am so pleased that your MIL was thrilled with her letter box flowers.
RosieBB - Col TT is watching you!
Yvie, lets hope that you have the delivery and the weather to enjoy getting your raised bed organised this weekend. I'm sure you might find two little helpers who would love the chance.
Debs, well done on getting the Boulevard Clemmies ordered - I wonder how 'accidental' the extra one was!
