Watched a fantastic rugby match today - really enjoyed it. Did your OH watch the football that was on before the rugby SGL?
I forgot to say that I completed my Census form yesterday. It seems weird to think that they will keep that record for 100 years and there seemed to be some fairly random questions too but at least these were voluntary so I left all of them out.
Hazel, I hope that your cold frame actually gets to you when it is expected and it doesn't go via Ireland. At least you will be able to get its site all well prepared for it. Yvie, I'm pleased to hear that your raised bed has finally got to you and what a lovely time you have had today with Jonah and Gabriel. I hope that your second born starts to feel better soon. SGL sounds to have had a lovely day too - that lovely walk to the pond. I wish I could say I had the weather to do that. It was dry when I went to the post box but has rained all afternoon since.
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
Hello Biglad, you weren't there when I posted. I would have viewed the red cabbage with suspicion too. I wonder what you will get to put in its place 🤔

It looked ok and just smelt of vinegar but it was probably wise not to sample it, @Ladybird4. Maybe a tin of chick peas would be a good substitute for the untouched corner of the cupboard
Evening everyone. Another cold & breezy day but I've finally finished tree work, pruning roses and buddleias and pollarded the elder. Also dug out an enormous bronze fennel that I was using to fill a space while the shrubs around it filled out. Thought it might be a 'mare to dig out but it came out quite easily - phew!Â
Heads up for all who enjoy a detective series: "Grace" is starting tonight on ITV - based on the books by Peter James & featuring Supt Roy Grace. I've really enjoyed the books (a third into the latest one at the moment) so really hoping the TV series is as good.
Hope all those with disturbed nights sleep well. Enjoy your evening everyone🙂
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
Evening T'Bird, you have had a busy, productive day. I'm recording Grace because it overlaps the final episode of Bloodlands which I have been watching so no spoilers please.
p.s. Biglad, I was thinking more of chocolate items!

Evening everyone, Rubee I hope you are managing to keep going today, is RosieBB ok not seen her recently? Yvie Sorry it’s a sad reminder today, you are right to cherish the people you love. Hope 2nd born improves and you have enjoyed time with Jonah & Gabriel today. Good to hear the raised bed finally arrived, LB It’s been raining here this afternoon so much for the fine forecast, lucky you went out this morning. Glad you enjoyed the rugby match, we’ve received our census form but I’ve not completed it yet, Hazel Lovely to receive flowers from your son & daughter, a very nice treat for you. The cold frame will be a very useful addition, Biglad A wise move not to chance the pickled cabbage, it should come with a warning anyway the after effects can be lethal 💨🤥 Topbird It sounds like a very productive and physical day, how is your arm feeling now is the physio helping? SGL What a lovely walk today and playing pooh sticks with your poppets sounds wonderful. Enjoy zoom chatting with poppet 3 and your son and DIL, Have a Zoom chat planned with the family tonight, have a nice evening everyone.Â
