I hope that you all have wonderful days and Yvie, I hope that the raised bed gets successfully filled today - just take your time. Little and often with the compost carrying.
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
Good Morning LB & all to follow, Great cartoon LB, everyday starts with that feeling 😀 Hope it’s a dry day for you, it’s raining here ☔️ Enjoy your day everyone.
Good morning everyone . It’s a lovely sunny morning here . I will be in the garden today .Lovely pic LB .That’s how I start the day . Morning Chive have a good day .
Good morning all. Dry here but showers forecast. Feeling a bit achy after digging/ pulling up conifers from front garden on Saturday. Also hay fever is back. Busy day planned if weather permits. Enjoy your gardens and take it easy with the compost Yvie!
Morning everyone, pouring down here again. Goodness @debs64 hayfever already, hope its not too bad. Take care. Slept really well last night, probably the very long walk yesterday. Good cartoon LB, feel like that some mornings 😂 Have a good day everyone
Yvie I hope your back improves soon. Take it steady. Songbird I may not watch Grace. Chive I know it’s a pain not having the internet but I can catch up at Rubees. 30 is a lot of children. Ante I’ll join you all for cake too. LB good cartoon. I always look forward to them. Lily it’s great you had a good sleep. I’ve been for a short walk this morning and it’s rather cold. Have a good day everyone.
Garden update: I am pleased to report that Hoppity is feeding in the garden now so she managed to escape the sparrowhawk the other day. It is still raining!
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
Afternoon - rather grey and drizzly today but, thankfully, the wind has dropped. Had a text yesterday evening to say the landscaper would be here at 8am😱 to cut the corner off the border and extend the drive. Unexpected, but good to get the work done. Will probably only be a one day job .
On the bad news front - when they got down to the remaining roots of the copper beech felled last year there was lot of honey fungus. No wonder lots of shrubs etc have been struggling or died😢. Not much I can do about it, but that border might get smaller and smaller....
Good to hear Grace is worth watching. We'll probably catch up with it in a few weeks. need to to watch Bloodlands first - did you enjoy it LB?
Glad to hear Hoppity is ok. My little robin friends are always around and we spotted some field fares recently. Lots of birds of prey around here - kestrels, sparrow hawks and buzzards.
Bad luck with the hay fever Debs. Is it tree pollen that sets it off? Can't think of much that's open and shedding pollen at the moment, but something must be.
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
@Topbird it’s tree pollen, particularly birch trees. I shouldn’t complain because it’s all gone away before the really nice weather comes. In fact it’s often worse in the rain?? I feel so sorry for those who can’t enjoy the summer pity they can’t cure it. I don’t take tablets as they invariably make me extremely sleepy. Just eye drops and nasal spray.
