Good Morning LB, yes most likely it’ll be after work before I can get in the garden. I am at home in the mornings but I like to get all those unmentionable jobs done before work, rain is forecast now so it might have to wait 🙄

    Morning everyone.
Slept like a log and didn't wake up till gone 8.30
Its sunny at the moment, but looks a bit breezy.
What DA climber did you get @debs64 I've been looking on their website for ideas. Would like a couple.  If the place is derelict and the ivy is on the outside wall, I doubt anyone would notice a couple of bits missing.  I think ivy can look nice, but it does get out of control easily. Next door have some growing halfway down the garden.....about the only thing that is. And we have to keep pulling it up our side and trimming it back. It did start off varigated, but now it's just green.
Need to pop to the village shops for some milk, so I think a slow stroll in the sun in a bit.
Right up my street too @PurpleRose 😋😋 wouldn't mind having a go at making one. My Dil would love it too 😉
Better get a wriggle on and get dressed if I'm going for the milk 😂
SYL everyone, have a good day

Morning all,  @debs64 If the building is derelict I would go for it.  I love ivy and if half the street took a cutting from mine it would make no difference to me or the ivy.  A bit different if someone was living there or it was a delicate plant.
It's very cloudy here today, haven't been outside so don't know how cold it is. I'm definitely planning on taking it easy today after a couple of hard days in the garden.  I've got a couple of clems that need tying in and some houseplants that need repotting. I also want to sow a few more seeds.
Whatever you are up to have a good day.

Popped in for a cuppa . Planted my potted Wisteria in the ground. It did have huge roots curled into a very tight circle. I sat down a carefully unraveled it .Only lost a few bits of roots . Quite pleased about that .Need a rest now .
  • Lily it’s really good that oh is enjoying his Pilates and chats.  It will be good to have the contact.  Ante the lime cheesecake sounds good.  Lovely with a cuppa.  LB sweet night time yawning kitten.  Makes you want to curl up.   It’s sunny today, although colder weather forecast.   Chive I tend to get my unmentionables out of the way too.  I think Alfie must have batted my ring somewhere.  I’ve looked everywhere.  It may turn up when I’m not looking.    Have a good day everyone.

Well I had planned a restful day Hazel but potting on the houseplants required a bag of compost to be dragged in from the garden. I've done seven of them so I'm having a cuppa before sowing some seeds.  I moan about the aches and pains but I love doing the garden so I'm just going to have to put up with it.  I'm taking a Nytol tonight at about 8 o clock and going to bed early to get myself ready for the boys tomorrow.
Hope your wisteria goes well Rubee.  I never seem to have any luck with them.  I'm on my third and I've promised not to kill anymore if this one doesn't take.  Have to say it's not looking good at the moment.  It's the only  plant I've failed to grow.

Hi all, checked with work mates apparently the building was a “drop in” centre for a few years owned by the local council. Ivy is on a wall I can access from pavement so no need to go onto the land so I think I will go for it.
The roses I ordered from DA were Strawberry Hill, The Pilgrim and Claire Austin all apparently highly scented and recommended for an obelisk.
Love wisteria but never grown it.

I'll let you know when I've taken one Hazel.  Hubby takes them occasionally and swears by them.
