Afternoon all, Lovely scarf @Ladybird4 . Horrible day here, grey and drizzly, so no gardening. I have spent a couple of hours sorting out loads of articles from the GW mag that I want to keep. I always keep 12 months of mags but get rid of them after that, but I do keep certain articles. I've been meaning to do it for ages.Â
Took delivery of 2 new clematis, Florida Kokonoe and Warszawska Nike. Hubby's new garden chair also arrived. Just waitin for the raised beds now. They should have come Monday.
Afties all. Thank you for all the kind words about my scarf. Its been horrid all day here and its cold - just been to put the bin out and my hands went into dead spiders mode. Its also going very dark already. Yvie - good news about the chair! Now your OH won't have any difficulties sitting and relaxing in the summer. Hazel, good luck with the jumper. It will be nice to see the finished garment.
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
It comes to a pretty pass when the lockdown has got you so fed up that you actually answer cold calls just to string the caller along before you hang up and block them. Today I suddenly had a brand new washing machine that was still under warranty so how could it possibly have run out so soon; only to be told that they could insure my fridge freezer, cooker anything. Yeah right! The latest one I had to inform them that sadly I didn't have the internet. That led to a sudden hang up from their end - whoever they were. I can block all the calls with numbers but the dratted 'International' calls still make it through. He wanted to sell me life insurance.

Evening everyone, horrible weather today cold, wet & windy. LB Your scarf looks fantastic I love the rainbow colours, I do think you’re going to get asked where you bought it 🤗 Those pesky nuisance calls, Topbird the driveway project sounds a good idea, if it makes manoeuvres easier it’s well worthwhile, Hazel Sounds like you’ve undertaken quite a challenge with this jumper, but like the others I’m looking forward to seeing it finished, SGL I bought some leeks in the shopping today, you have sowed a seed with all the soup talk 😋 Yvie Glad your chair turned up for OH and you had some lovely Clematis plants delivered, RosieBB Hope you are still sleeping well, the cherry tree must be very pretty when in blossom, Rubee Have you been keeping warm knitting & reading today, Sorry posted too soon!, exciting news I have signs of life in the seed tray 🌱🌱🌱 and it’s my brothers birthday today so we are having a Zoom birthday celebration this evening 🥳
Happy birthday Chive's brother! What are your baby seedlings Chive? I've just had to rescue my bin that had decided to trundle out into the Crescent - wind assisted of course - Hazel. I have to put down complicated knitting at night because of the poor lighting. I need more lights for crafting.

Happy Birthday to Chives brother .🥳🥳🥳🥳 Chive I have been reading most of the day . I think I will turn in I am tired . Have a lovely evening .
Thank you all for my brothers birthday wishes. I’d taken a cake round for him earlier so he could blow his candles out on Zoom 🎂 just couldn’t share a bit though! Hazel I hope you manage to fathom where you’ve gone awry on the jumper, a fresh look tomorrow will be easier to see, LB The seedlings are the Candytuft and Sweet pea seeds that I had started, so I’m thrilled to see a little growth. Hope your bins are secured for the night, Good luck with the car MOT & service tomorrow Topbird hope all goes well, Rubee That sounds like the perfect way to spend the day, Signing off too now, Goodnight everyone.Â

Hazel - the knitting will look easier in the morning light.
Early start for us tomorrow - car service & MOT which we may as well combine with a trip to the SM
