Evening all, just popped on to say goodnight I have a rotten headache and feel a bit yuk, unfortunate as Secondborn gave me flowers and chocs for Mothers Day before I left and at the moment I can't face eating them, unusual for me.

    Evening everyone.
I managed to get to the village shops between the rain this morning.
@Chivetalking thank you, yes I managed to get everything I needed.....plus a few extra bits that jumped into my basket😉   I didn't 'need' them, but they will be lovely to eat 😉🤣🤣
    I've booked my haircut too @Ladybird4 22nd April 🤗🤗

My name is Star gaze Lily  and I too am a Chocoholic. The last time I had chocolate was  15 minutes ago 😳  Although it was a KitKat........does that technically pass as a biscuit?  So I can have a Ferro Roche 😉😋😋

    Morning all,

I've done a quick skim after being AWOL. On the lack of certain products, I did the weekly click and collect at the SM yesterday evening and was surprised that they said they didn't have the baby potatoes we ordered. Nor did they have a suitable replacement. Considering that they swapped sweet potato chips for cauliflower hash browns (who knew they were even a thing!), I was a bit puzzled. So, defeating the object of c&c, I nipped in and purchase a bag of baby potatoes from the fully stocked crate!!!

Been a grim week weather-wise but I've been cooped up working anyway. Did a couple of quick inspections whilst putting the bins out or putting the kitchen waste in the compost bin and it looks like we've avoided any wind-damage. Surprising as it was fierce for a couple of nights. Even the 'blow away' mini greenhouse stayed put. It has been weighted down and shackled to fence posts though. Sounds like it's blowing at the moment as well. Might not be much of a gardening weekend :(

Instead, I'm spending far too much time staring at seed trays waiting for signs of germination :o . Just 1 brave 'de cayenne' showing (out of 15) but 14 of the marigolds sown at the same time. Interesting how quickly/slowly germination happens. The peas from the packet I opened last year are easy to get going again. They don't waste time cracking on once they've broken the surface either! I've got a couple of 'orders' from family for pea plant wigwams so I'll be planting those up in a couple of weeks. My youngest likes the idea of wandering around her garden and having edibles to snack on. Wonder where she gets that from ;)

Have been awake for ages listening to the howling wind and the rain lashing against the window. Can't be bothered to go downstairs, so have just laid here for hours trying to nod off. Hope you're all sound asleep.  Will hopefully nod off soon.
    See you later
