Morning everyone, what a windy night😩 its was absolutely howling and lashing down with rain. Didn't get much sleep as it woke me up and I then couldn't get back to sleep for ages. Still extremely windy now but has stopped raining. Definitely a staying in day. I've peeked outside and the fences seem ok.
Time for a cup of tea, see you later.

Good morning everyone. Gosh but its wild outside. Bins have been emptied and I've put mine and neighbour's back up our drives. I have noticed a lot of rubbish in the Crescent which the refuse collectors have ignored so I hope the 'owners' of said junk retrieve it. I'm not holding my breath and that will probably be a job for me to do later. Not to worry. All will be well. I do hope that you have all fared well over night and that none of your precious things have got blown over.
Chive, candytuft and sweetpeas - signs of lovely things to come. No signs yet of my dahlias but it is still a bit early for them.

Good morning Ruby. Horrible night here too with lots of banging going on outside as things got blown about. I had a quick walk down the back garden and the whole bottom end of my garden is yet again under water.

    Morning 🙂

First cup of the day drunk so shower now & then setting off to garage. OH will follow on in his vehicle to pick me up. Should be home in time for elevenses.

Should put the bin out today for collection tomorrow - but there's not much in it and it could end up in the next village in this wind, so maybe I won't bother this week....

    Happy Thursday everyone - SYL.

Good morning T'Bird and good luck today with the MOT and the shopping. The news is all very sad this morning. Thoughts are with the family of that poor young woman.

Good Morning SGL, LB, Rubee & Topbird and all to follow,
SGL thank you for my brothers birthday wishes, take it easy today after a broken nights sleep.
LB Glad you got all your bins safely back in, shame about the bottom end of your garden under water again. Is is lovely to see this new plant life begin, I hope you will be seeing signs with the Dahlias one day soon,
Rubee I think another gentle day of reading and knitting will be needed after last night,
Topbird Hope you don’t find any obstructions on your journey today, hope the car and shopping  trip is successful.
Shocking news concerning that young woman, my heart goes out to her family utterly devastating news.

  • Great scarf LB, Boris is rather large :) .  Wild and windy today.   Hazel I wish I could knit.  I’m sure you’re jumper will be lovely, what colours?  Yvie I think we all have a weakness for clematis :) .  Chive I hope it wasn’t too windy for you this morning.  I held onto my hood tightly.  The cherry tree is lovely in blossom.  Happy Birthday to your brother🐣.  Have a good day Topbird.
